A "40+ vertical and ran a 4.3 fourty. Michael Jeffrey Jordan is the Blueprint by which all so-called great players are judged by. As in so-n-so is the the next Jordan. Others may score more points, rebounds, and assists. But what he accomplished in the hand check no flagrant foul era may never be repeated. What he did in the 87/88 season alone is historic. During warmups, Michael and Scottie put on a quick & playful "dunk competition" for the standing-room-only crowd. @@michaelnorris6168 Amén to that. Lebron is a fake. He is alright but today’s NBA rules are too soft. Ticky Tack fouls, flopping and setting up a Super team for Lafake so he can win another championship. And one more observation, the GoldenState Warriors were unbelievable Lebron and his team couldn’t stop Curry and klay Thompson that’s why he said Curry was standing in his way and started a rivalry with him. He and his Cavaliers got swept by the Warriors and it made him look so bad that I believe the NBA decided to dismantle the Warriors. Look at that team today. It is so. Sorry. So yes Curry made him look bad. He had nothing on the black Mamaba Kobe Bryant so how can he say he is the greatest player in the universe? All these young fans want a Basketball hero say they are going to say that he is the best in the world. But looking back at Michael Jordan Lebron can’t compare to Jordan. Mind you Jordan is 6’6” and Lebron is 6’10” he is 4 inches taller. He is bigger than Jordan which means that Jordan had to exert himself so much more against a lot of tall player. I absolutely do NOT see, or consider, Lebron James to be among the elite few to claim the title of GOAT since I have seen time and time again where he has sat in the other side of the court, after his team scored, while his team is on the other side trying to stop the other team from scoring.

Rick Jensen Exactly! That's the same reason I say all the time how the the hell you got the nerve to call YOURSELF the GOAT when you only play offense and a weak ass D. And if he wins he gets all the credit. That's why Kyrie ask to be trade and Kawai said no thanks. Great players should want to compete and not get backpacked to a Chip, but not LeBooboo. He wants a guaranteed Chip. I remember when Shag and Barkley had that argument on the NBA on TNT. And Chuck was like don't you want to compete against other great players and not join them, and meathead Shag was like no, no you don't have no rings so you don't understand. And Chuck was so how you calling yourself the GOAT if you always looking to put together a super team. And I agree 100%.

In the present there is no basket, there is no stragery, there us no beauty to the game, just a bunch of guys shooting the ball and praying it goes in. The 2 point game will always trump the shooting game, look at what Kawhi did last year, look at what Kobe did in the past, get to your spot, pull up and fade away, it's a thing of beauty.

@@bigd7722 no. Watch the play in slow mo, Russel started running back to the basket but when Jordan stepped back Russel tried to go back to him and then slipped.

Anyone who knows a lick about basketball knows how much harder it is to score when the defender is allowed to put hands and forearms on the offensive player. Lebron is a protected species out there in the modern game. He gets so many free points by being allowed to just charge the lane unchallenged for easy layups...that mixed with him getting away with so many travels and offensive fouls. Let him get forearm checked trying to post up or hit when he drives the lane and see his points go down. Then let MJ go unchecked and he averages 40+ easy.

Growing up, I seriously thought this was how you were supposed to play because I watched him. Splitting double teams, reverse layups, using your body to shield the ball from defenders and shooting across your body (or, over your head), turn around fade aways from high post, etc. With my 5'9" frame and 36" vertical, against weaker competition, I used to do those moves. I had no idea that I tapped into god-tier skills - I just thought that was what people did. I can only imagine being 6'6", with a 48" vert and huge hands, while being that quick. People don't understand how unstoppable he was. There is no answer for those moves with that athleticism. There have been zero people who were ever born that can defend Jordan. Double or tripple teams were basically ineffective against most of what he did.

Everytime he jumped he held the square and triangle buttons at the same time that is how he got the hang time. Nobody knew of the trick back then than himself = Black Jesus 🙏

MJ was doing those crazy moves because he has to, unlike most guys today. They’re only doing it for being on ESPN or some posters.
