Like I told my wife. We get into most of our fights because we are both anticipating some BS and we are both on constant defense. Thats no way to live because we are actually causing what we dont want to happen with our attitude.

Good to ask ourselves why people are anticipating BS -- that doesn't just come from nowhere. People have a bunch of BS experiences and they start prepping for BS. Gotta break the cycle and be ready for some goodness and joy, despite the odds.

You get good at anything you do. Whether you mean to or not, practice makes perfect. From fine arts to rage and depression. The more you train, the easier it is. Eventually, you're battling your own muscle memory.. Once you recognize this fact, you can control of it. Being better is as simple as acting like the person you might admire. One day, it won't be an act. Good stuff, Ali. Used to play alot of spades on commisary sheets telling stories like these. You're doing valuable work, man.

@@JackTray lel, I'ma just chalk up this pathetic comment on you just not being too bright, on top of clearly being a b*tch trying to overcompensate on the internet. The fact of the matter is, if someone's actually tough, they're not gonna "act" like they are, cause they don't care that you think otherwise. The people who try to look it are just scared that if they don't, folk will try to pick a fight with them. Someone who's actually tough will let you try and pick a fight, and you're just gonna have to find out the hard way.

On there journey that's when we were taught self love and we stood up for our communities and BLACK MEN WHERE MEN IN OUR COMMUNITIES

I was fortunate to have a grandfather, dad, and uncles that didn't have any problems saying they loved us. It's something that I do with my kids(son) and nephews to this day. I also would tell my boys this, and in the beginning I could see the uncomfortable posture, but now it's something they do as well. I always know that if something was to happen that the last time that I saw them I said loved them.

@anonymouslyanonymous1420
@anonymouslyanonymous1420 Ай бұрын
I work at an airport and the sadness of grief predominantly people of color pass along to another person of color is disheartening. This is more coming through a female of color....Men usually scowl and yell. I stand 5' is it that you want to invoke fear, rage, torment. I as a female of color travel that everyday all day constantly keeping my defenses up. I strive for a different outcome each day choosing to progress daily. I didn't choose the earliest flight but I did choose the earliest shift. Be kinder to all airport employees. Sometimes not all times they give the energy they've received. My women of color please calm down...so 😢 and men every woman isn't frowning sometimes that's just their appearance. You never know how many things she's done to possibly change what she can't. Please as you travel leave the attitudes at the door...you can be that smile they need as well. I saw once a Popeye employee on my feed who from the short clip shown was being well not favored kindly...the customer asked...What type of customer service is this? The employee replied...What kind of customer are you? Be the change you want to see. Just my opinion...just my opinion. 😊Be kind, every wrong doesn't have to be loudly, fearfully corrected.

You're hilarious! I want my youngest son to hear your words of wisdom before he returns to these streets. I'm not sure if he's heard about you but he needs to educate himself and laff to make it through that bid. Being a Muslim yourself, I'd like for you to correspond with your fellow brother because as you've stated women express from emotions whereas men come from a different perspective. My son needs a positive Muslim influence that can relate and provide direction from a person who's been there and done that. He has been confronted with some of the most difficult conundrums from 19 to now.

Yes, too many brothers walk around like they got a stick up there but angry for no reason. Trying to project being hard all the time. Looking like they gotta go take a dump. Unwilling to simply say what up my man when you walk by to bump fist to shake hands. I work in corporate America. It is hard to get the brothers to speak to you. Sometimes I get more love from other people than I do from people that look like me and we are few and far between in corporate America
