Hello everyone. I have 4C hair and I want to start taking proper care of my hair. I have been making a lot of mistakes in the past which I want to correct. For context, my hair is not too long and barely reaches my eyebrows when stretched. It also has low porosity. So, I went and watched some KZbin videos and read some website articles. Basically, I've planned a routine for a typical wash day from the information that I've gathered. 1. Shampoo your hair. 2. Deep condition your hair for thirty minutes to one hour. Heat can be used. 3. Rinse it out and use a leave-in conditioner. 4. Use hair gel if you want. 5. You can use a light oil like Argon oil to accompany the conditioner. Every up there is a routine for the wash day, but what routine can I use for my daily life? I don't know how correct everything here is, but I'm still confused about some things. 1. When is the right time to detangle my hair? Is it when using deep conditioner or when using leave-in conditioner? 2. How often should I detangle my hair? 3. How often should I wash my hair and should I only wash my hair with shampoo? 4. Should I only wash my hair with shampoo? 5. I intend to deep condition my hair every week since I have dry hair. However, how often should I use a leave-in conditioner? 6. Should I only use a leave-in conditioner after washing my hair when wet? 7. Can I use a leave-in conditioner in place of a moisturizer? 7. Can I leave my hair without washing or moisturising for some days? I know it seems long. Please bare with me as I am very confused right now. Also, what recommendations do you have for shampoos, deep conditioners and leave-in conditioners? What products should I buy? Lastly, any general tips you might have about black 4C hair care would be appreciated. Thank you for reading.

1. I usually do it while using deep conditioner but I don’t know how others might feel about it. 2. Once or twice a week 3. I have 4b hair and I’ve found that washing it 2-3 times a month helps it grow more 4. I’ve found that it’s better to use shampoo & conditioner 5. You can use a leave-in conditioner daily 6. This one I don’t exactly know because I currently do it after washing it or adding like some type of liquid to it and it works greatly but I’ve never exactly experienced it without wetting it first 7. Yes, it’s great since you have low porosity hair 8. Since you have 4c hair you should be moisturizing daily just to keep it from being dry and from breakage occurring but as I said washing it 2-3 times a month helps a lot better

Bro first after all, There are basic rules like Using a Sulfate Free Shampoo and condicioner (Sulfates makes your hair dry, very very dry) This is my second time growing out a full afro, i can give you some tips 1. Sulfate free shampoo and condicioner, wash you hair atleast every 2 days 2. basic rule, Your sometimes might be desesperated about how to much little progess you hair have and im sorry but afro hair is the hair that MOST takes time to grow out, theres nothing you cant do about it and NO, DONT BRUSH IT ALL THE TIME 3. always try using new stuff in your hair, but remember to dont touch it after you style it, you know that you are using the right products when your hair keeps is "curly" shape, or well it depends about the kind of afro that you are trying to grow up 4. Learn to cut it by yourselft , i had more than 1 year growing my hair out but i decided to get a "Little" haircut, but the lady dont knew how to cut afro hair and she ended up almost leaving me bald, Lmao sounds like a lie but is truth, Today people are not used to grow afro hair so is super, super , super weird to find someone that wants to grow it out so people dont know how to handle an afro 5. Remember to use something like a oil (avocado oil, I dont recommend using coconut oil ) in your hair, use it before you are going to style it (after you washed it) 6. Another basic rule is that sometimes you will have Bad hair days , when your hair looks like if it is dry and you feel like you must cut it, resist the temptation , sometimes is normal to see your hair like this 7. The secret of growing afro hair out is..... Simply "ignore it" dont be all the whole time caring about your hair, ofc care about it when you wash it , etc, but then just forget about it for the rest of the day, your hair is very very very delicated so if you brush it to much you will lost more hair, just brush it when you style it after you take a shower, thats actually it lmao, Is pretty simple

@TinoXStudio8 ай бұрын
I appreciate you watching and commenting and I respectfully disagree. Black people have all different types of hair. Different patterns, porosity and types of damage. Get a consultation from a professional of you are in need of haircare. Conditioners, treatments, oils, butters and moisturizers are around for a reason. Don’t let it get try and brittle. Water is important and eating the right types of food are also essential. I’m not a nutritionist but the ones I’ve worked with do not recommend a whole gallon.

Scalp itchiness and flakes are typically from dryness or excessive product buildup. so if yours is from dryness make sure your moisturize your scalp ( not just your HAIR) so do what you do at day 1 in 2 days instead of three and see if that helps your routine. you may just need to do it more frequently cause your hair could be wicking more moisture from your scalp than it can produce
