Your pronunciation is pretty good! In the book Wukong's journey actually started in the middle and it's not about immortality at all. As you said, he'd already acquired that but was sealed under a mountain for 500 years for his crimes(property damage). His journey is for redemption.

Wukong was never evil per-se, he was more of a rebel and arrogant and egotistical in the beginning. And because he was very strong and had a "I don't give a sh*t" attitude, and rude to many he made many enemies and just was not liked. So he was more like an outcast. It was through meeting his master tang san zang, and travelling together that he started learning to be more humble and more responsible of his abilities and slowly reached enlightenment.

comparing this game to most AAA games this year and last year, it is save to say that Wukong is well optimized. I have a ~10y.o system and with frame gen, i get nearly 100FPS with mixed settings. That is a bloody first for me xD

i ran it with ray tracing and without ray tracing. Ray tracing was kinda weird in the benchmarking. When the motion moved to a shaded area, it looks dark af, and the transition from shaded area to sunlight was not smooth, it felt like someone on the light in a dark room suddenly. But overall without ray tracing, it was amazing. Graphic wise it looks amazing other than the light transition in ray tracing.

Thumb up for slaying the "Yaoguai". "Ruyi Jingu Bang" is more or less pronounced like RooYee jingu bang. Lastly, just according to Chinese content creators who have access to the game early and completed their first attempt, it took 40~50 hours for the first time casual play through, although something above 40% of the hidden quests and bosses are missed, and there's NG+. Given there's no map or navigation system, this game will be a long journey

just to quick clear some things up. According to the first trailers of Black Myth, it would seem we're playing the Six Eared Macaque and NOT the real Wukong. Six Eared Macaque is essentially a copycat and there was a whole story with him and all that. Second is that you wanna pronounce the name of the staff by each syllable separately since it's 5 different characters. So it'd be Ru-Yi-Jin-Gu-Bang

Hey I think you’ve missed that the protagonist is confirmed not Sun WuKong. In one of the PV, the Sun WuKong appeared and blocked the staff of the protagonist. Our protagonist is referred by other NPCs as “天命人” Destiny Man.

Parrying is not smooth sailing. Humans aren't AI that can do 100% precise at first attempt. When you see players using parry, they've been dying to it a lot to actually finally understand the timing, move set, and so on. They just didn't talk about it or sometimes brag it as ez. It's not, you risk getting hurt and die everytime you missed the timing. Same as dodging.

the bosses fights are not as hard as the soulslike games. and it's linear, not open world. this story is set after the journey of the west. some bosses have 2nd phase, if you defeat them fast enough in 1st phase(the time frame is unknown yet) there are 2 ways you can gain transformation/shapeshifting to defeated monsters(not all monsters), 1. obtain the weapon of the monster 2. capture defeated monsters with the gourd. method 1 you shapshift into the monster within a limited time frame, you change back to monkey after the timer expires or hp bar goes down to 0, basically gives you an extra HP bar. method 2 let you combine the monster's attack into your monkey attack combo seamlessly. the last but not the least, plz remember that this game is made by a 140ish employees studio, it might not be as polished as other games made by other bigger studios. Plz tune your expectation down, and enjoy!!!

The Game better look 2x better then the benchmark it's super flawed. Going back and forth from alan wake to this benchmark it's not even close. The crispy look isn't there. The depth, the density and more. It's to sharp in some areas while to soft in others the water looks soft and flat. The entire benchmark imo falls flat. In game footage does look so much better but I hope it looks that good because even elden ring looks way more crispy and clean.
