I started Bloodbowl and immediately fell in love with Black Orcs. However, the game is so whacky that I genuinely didn’t know how to play them usefully and it was frustrating. Thank you for sharing these formations. Some of what you shared made some of my notions click. Notions of ideas that I couldn’t quite make sense of. Lol. Great work!

I’m new to Blood Bowl but I’ve managed to get a handful of games in with my Black Orc team and I haven’t lost a game yet - I love the brutality of this team, it’s so fun to play! Thanks for the video, lots of useful tactics to try on my next victi.. I mean opponent

I really like your videos on set ups, really it has improve my skills. And - hurray ! - I am so happy that you have proposed some fancy off-the-hook set ups, I begun to wonder if there was something besides the anchor/chevron defense... Like, I really like the "Hook" formation they proposed in Spike! for the Dark Elves, and it is pretty effective. But thanks a lot again !

I'm going to give this team a shot in our local league. We are running a 20 player group @1M TV for starters and this team does feel like it can be very complete to start off with. Thanks for all the tips for this new team!

Got a game with the Shambling Undead coming up. I'm new and haven't played against them yet. Any advice on what defensive formation is the best counter for them? Any offensive formation The Shambling Undead struggle with?

I used the 7-4 offense in my last game, made a slight mistake but otherwise it worked out nicely for me.

I can attest, the 7-4 offense makes your opponent sweat.

Wooh! Thanks Michael, welcome to the party! 😁 Okidokey - we've got a Black Orc playlist (kzbin.info/www/bejne/naixpGVsgb2al5Y), and a Necromantic playlist (kzbin.info/aero/PLQFS9iXtqp9KiDrLsWPWGS5vZLWejJA7g); these both look at starting out with a team / how to develop them & how to set up (which I know you've seen already!). We've also got some filmed games - actually featuring both those teams in our Bonehead Championship! kzbin.info/aero/PLQFS9iXtqp9Ja_6JEULlrKhAwF-ckAlgc Including this where they play against each other: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWXYYpudj86dd6s 😁 I hope that helps, but if there's anything else you think would be useful just let us know!

I have played 4 matches now (Black Orcs) against my brother with halflings and 3 Treeman, one of them is a star player and I have so much problems to beet him, do you have any Formation which could work? he broke my lines like a blade of gras.

I'm new to the game with only 3 games played on table, and I tried a game with Elven Union, and then onto Norse. I love Norse! But, I have been wondering about other teams as well and what would really fit me. I want a team that isn't too weak or too slow, but at the same time they are not just a jack-of-all-trades bland team. I like the thought of unique mechanics on the players.

Strength versus speed is a common trade-off in BB. Have you considered Lizardmen? They even play into your thought on unique mechanics. Not in unique skills, but in the mechanics of Saurus cannot dodge and skinks cannot put a dent in a pack of butter. Both easily remedied by playing smart, but it offers a lot of tactical depth.

Another good option might be the Shambling Undead. Definitely not weak with 2 mummies and not slow with some wights and ghouls. Of course then the strong part of the team is not fast and the fast part of the team is not strong...

@@someoneelse7695 undead do seem interesting. And I did look into Lizardmen and I liked how strong they can be, just thought they seemed pretty Vanilla.

During the BB3 beta I experimented a lot with black orcs and the best formation on the receiving team is, in my opinion, not a line but a broken line of 5. This way you can grab an opponent and chuck it towards your endzone, get two opportunities for blocks, and then a foul with a lot of support. Most linemen will be more expensive than your gobbos anyway and except if it's your first match you should most of the time be able to afford a beibe.

And can black orcs normally compete with Imperial Nobility at all?
