1) I never knew that Georgia had wineries. Dulcé, thanks for the information. 2) I'm a lifelong scotch drinker so drinking & enjoying wine was a big leap. I always told people, "Give me wine that I can taste, something substantial, something bold. I don't want to drink flavored water." I was able to find red wines that had some solid texture & flavor to them. Believe it or not, going on wine tastings allowed me to find wines I actually liked. Not to be dismissive, but maybe Black people aren't interested in owning vineyards because of their history of having to work as slaves, on plantations, for White people. I couldn't undertake an activity that was attached to such a painful history for my family. (eg: My heritage is German, Polish, Austrian, & Russian, & I'm Hebrew. I will never step foot in any of those countries, NEVER!)
