Question, is pandan supposed to have the typical pandan smell as soon as you break the leaf? I have two pandan (Pandanus amaryllifolius) growing, however when I first break the leaves they have a kind of gross generic "green leaf" smell, and then after about half an hour or more the broken parts smell like the familiar pandan smell. Is this normal?
