Geezer Butler, the band's bass player, has variously said the song is about an incident where skinheads attacked Ozzy for having long hair and that the second half of the song is about LSD. In his autobigraphy, Ozzy himself says he can't recall what inspired the song. The most believable story claims it's about the occasion Geezer and Ozzy were smoking weed in a park and had visions of fairies in boots dancing about. Whatever the truth is, it's one of the most beloved songs among fans of the group. Thanks Miss Blondie and Harri.

In his book, Geezer says the skinheads chased him and the rest of the band came to his aid and they beat the heck out of the skinheads. Apparently, Tony was terrifying and very tough, when he wanted to be.

It’s hard to get much more real music in your face just old-school rock ‘n’ roll no tricks just jammin! They were all meant to be together in Sabbath! That band broke boundaries that needed to be broken. Music would not have been the same without them and other bands like deep purple.

Black Sabbath formula - transition transition transition. Love how they do it so seamlessly and get back to the killer original riff by the incredible Tony Iommi.

Incredible, early performance by these guys, that entire concert is worth a look. Like Led Zeppelin and the Who, these guys were blessed with someone on each instrument who is amongst th best ever, Ozzy might not be as great a technical vocalist as others but he is unique with a perfect style for this band and there was no more exciting frontman in the history of Rock than Ozzy Osborne. Also a shout out to the other 3 band members, Tony Iommi on guitar, Geezer Butler on bass and Bill Ward on drums, they are in my top 10 at each instrument, they are that good. Try War Pigs from the California Jam in 1974, 4 years and 5 stellar albums later make them an even better band by then, tremendous performance in front of a quarter million fans. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶

I was about 12 when this album (Paranoid) came out, and I was hooked for life. I was finally able to see them perform back in 2016, although Bill Ward (their drummer) sat that tour out. This is great stuff, and I'm surprised at how early this video was by Ozzy mentioning that if was from their "new album".

From their 2nd album, "Paranoid" from 1970, a song apparently with LSD, and heavy pot smoking and Ozzy being called a fairy by skinheads who wear boots in a park. There were 2 tracks on this song that were released in America with an instrumental insert called Jack the Stripper. Tony Iommi's heavy riffs, with Ozzys piercing vocals and the prominent bass line by Geezer Butler adds extra layers of depth to this great tune. The dark enigmatic lyrics, with the heavy musicality show the power of Black Sabbath. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Miss Blondie. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada. 🇨🇦

Good one Harri. Yeah Tony injured his fingers working in a factory like a day before they went off on the long journey to rock stardum. Just about anyone else would have been stopped by that but not Tony. He knew it was his only way out.

Another great request Ms. Blondie...love Black Sabbath. My first album as a child was Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. I had a friend that had older brothers and sisters who owned the album...they let me borrow it and never got it back. Best song to me( on that album) is A National Acrobat. Thanks for the reaction. ❤ 6:18

Tony lost his finger tips just as the band took off. I think he used plastic bottle caps, melted and moulded into shape, and also de tuned his guitar with lighter strings which helped him find his unique sound.
