Strange singing style, short bursts, not very many syllables. This shows what a great talent Glenn Hughes is, he took these songs to a new level on Seventh Star with some great vocal lines.

People forget that these recordings are demos, so everything could have been better if the songs were passing the whole process, Jeff was a great vocalist, i know some of his performances, he worked with the band Joshua and with the band Masi and some others, the most interesting thing about these demos is how different are some of the guitar solos as can be heard here and totally different on the final product, thanks for sharing.

I totally missed this one. Jeffrey Craig Fenholt was an American musician, singer and actor best known for his performance as the title character in the original Broadway theatre adaptation of Jesus Christ Superstar and for his appearance on the cover of Time. -Wikipedia Born:September 15, 1950, United States Died:September 10, 2019 (aged 68) Eric Singer is an American drummer. Associated with the hard rock band KISS since 1991, he has also performed with artists such as Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Lita Ford, Badlands, Brian May and Gary Moore as well as his own band ESP. In his career, Singer has appeared on over 75 albums and 11 EPs. -Wikipedia Birth name: Eric Doyle Mensinger Born: May 12, 1958, Cleveland, Ohio, U.S. Gordon Copley, born in Pasadena, California, is a bassist who briefly played bass for Black Sabbath. He played bass on the Black Sabbath song "No Stranger to Love" on their album Seventh Star. Bassist Dave Spitz played bass on the rest of the songs on the album. Copley was also the bassist for Lita Ford's band in early 1985 and joined her on tour after featuring on Seventh Star, leaving Sabbath. Copley would then later feature on Bill Ward's 1990 album Ward One: Along the Way. -Wikipedia Geoffrey James Nicholls was a British guitarist and keyboardist, and longtime member of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath until 2004. Nicholls also played in the NWOBHM band Quartz before joining Black Sabbath. -Wikipedia Born: February 29, 1944, Birmingham, England Died: January 28, 2017 But who is this Tony Iommi guy?

Jeff Fenholt has a strong voice, no question! But he lacked in dynamics. I'm still glad I got to hear this. Strange times in Black Sabbath's history. I think Tony Iommi was having a rough time on his own as the last original. He's still amazing. I saw the Seventh Star tour (Worcester MA) with Glenn Hughes, they only did six songs and ended the show with a great Iommi guitar solo because Glenn's voice was trashed.

Glenn had said the reason his voice was so poor .. was because he got punched in the nose , and the blood dried in his throat . He eventually had to get it medically scraped out . This would explain why he sounded so bad on the tour .

I'm going to get flack for this, but I think that this is much more aligned with my tastes than any of the other non-Ozzy lineups. They're going a bit Pink Floyd with it in a lot of places, but Tony's guitar and the rhythm section in general are still really tight and have a really enjoyable interplay. Singer sounds great, not overcomplicating the melodies or being too flashy like Glenn Hughes. Dio had better vocal tone and delivery, but he was much better when he wasn't singing for Sabbath and these are just bootlegged demos, so he probably would sound far better with a full album release. This is a really solid set of demos and it would have been nice to see them developed into a full album with this lineup.

Obviously controversial because of what he got into and the way he used this to his advantage. He didn't write any of the finished product - everything here has different melodies and different lyrics, so at least no controversy there. But this should just be seen as an alternative reality 7th Star. Really interesting. Great singer, too.

Fantastic group: with different vocalists it sounds different. Fenholt and Hughes - are the worse variants of Black Sabbath sound and melodies. Little bit better - Gillan did. But also not as good as Ozzy, Dio and Martin. The last three - did the genius work in there songs and albums. IMHO. I love BS much more than any other rock team.
