I don't see why there needs to be flame wars and insults thrown back and forth, everyone is entitled to their opinion, if someone prefers FGL's cover, fine. If someone else prefers BSC's original, that's also fine. I think we're all getting a bit silly over it. I personally like both versions equally, I don't have a preference. I heard FGL's version long before I found the original, but it hasn't thrown me off either of them. I think both have been sang nicely and both deserve some degree of recognition. I like them both, but I am perfectly fine if someone else's view differs from me, just as long as they don't slag me off for it.

Go to one of their concerts and see how many people are there. They sell out just like any other good band does. Between the two groups, more people have "liked" this video than the other one. I like FGL, but they changed the words to a very good BSC song. There are many people who knew of BSC before FGL did a cover of Stay. This is a great song, and I do like this band a lot. Been a fan for years. But FGL's cover blows this one out of the water. It aint often a cover sounds better than the original, but this is definitely one of them. The whole sound that FGL put into it has far more emotion in the vocals and the music better fits the lyrics.
