A well-executed comprehensive guide to black tie. Some things other "guides" miss that I'm glad you covered are the waist coverings and its place as evening dress. Evening dress has a refined elegance in that you don't see the waistband of your trousers as you would with daytime business wear and it just looks so much better at night! It's not until you see these rules being broken en masse that you see the genius behind these rules.

Artificial light is not by default necessarily warmer than natural light. Sunlight is quite cool in terms of color temperature yes, but candle light is quite warm. Artificial lights also come in a range of temperature these days
