THANK YOU! Literally the only video I could find that fit exactly what I was doing I am about to bleach wash my hair right now and I have been box black dying my hair for like 2 years since the last time I color changed. It’s been about maybe 3 weeks give or take since I dyed my hair last so I’m very excited to see my results! I’ll be using 30 volume and punky brand bleach powder so everyone please wish me luck! 😭 Thank you so very much for the links love! Video was absolutely brilliant. I will post an update 🙏🏻😍

I’ve had black hair dye hair for a few years now and I’ve tried colour b4 but literally my roots went red and the ends stayed black so I instantly thought my hair is broken and I will have to stay this colour lol but I’ve ordered the things u have said and I’m going give it a try as I wanna try to go a light brown! Thankyou so much for ur help! U have given me hope
@Kara-Ellie3 жыл бұрын
I feel like colour before used to work when it first came out and now it I just doesn’t! Maybe they changed the formula. Black is the hardest colour to shift as well, there’s a lot of colour layering to get to black, there’s a lot of red in black dyes which is why it goes red/ginger when stripped and becomes a nightmare 🤣 and the different levels of colour buildup in the hair you soon end up with different shades of red! I hope you get the look you’re after in the end!
@RJsBeauty3 жыл бұрын
@@Kara-Ellie so I’ve used it for the first time and it has gone red... but I’m hoping when I do it again next week it will go lighter and keep going lighter the more I do it xx

I immediately noticed your roots. I am not a hairdresser, but you could do root tap with darker toner, to color your roots so they look natural. There are a lot of videos abt root tap on YT. Great job with figuring out your technique. Your hair color looks great. I had Fenola hair conditioner, I liked the results but hated the chemical stench. I was mixing it with other stuff to kill the bad smell.

This was very helpful, thank you. I was thinking bleach baths were the way to go. I have a year of box dye on my hair so I think I'll do a vitamin C stripping first to remove the bulk of the dye and then do the bleach baths once a week until I reach my desired level. You were a big help in figuring out a routine, thanks again.

When my hair was Marlyin blonde as my hair grew I would just touch the roots with a ash blonde and then would wet my hair and drag through sections to give some dimension and then finally mix in throughout all my hair as a toner... Its always looked better than going to salon for a touch up!... Am doing a bleach bath as I write this so I guess my toner deal wash kind of like a toner bath lol! Thanks .

I find it so hard to find that sort of salon bleach in the UK. I'm about to use Pureplex bleach to bleach wash my two applications of black box dye. I only want to go to copper so I'm hoping this won't be too difficult. Getting an even base is the hardest part for me.

Thank you! But I changed it since! I’m growing out my natural colour which is on my newer videos 🤣 but I was putting bleach London no bleach bleach on my roots to lift a couple shades. Then going over with the olia blonde box colour in this video, as you can tell it’s high maintenance and not something I wanted to keep up in lockdown! But I’m so glad I found these products for next year when I mess around again with blonde 👀🤣

Try a bleach wash or two over a couple of weeks, if not get some anti dandruff shampoo, it strips colour more over time, thing about blonde dye under dark it always tries its best to creep back through! So if you don’t wanna use bleach keep washing it!

It will deffo lighten your roots up too, also it’s hard to avoid the roots when doing this as it foams up like a shampoo, sounds like you want to keep darker roots?

Hi there I have black hair with highlights put in. Will a bleach bath wash away highlights done from bleach?
@Kara-Ellie Жыл бұрын
It will more than likely make them even lighter, it should lift the highlights you have even further but that’s not to say it will be a nice colour after, they may need toning still and may need toning a different shade to the rest of your hair if you’re doing a full head bleach wash? Is your goal one colour or still highlighted?

Wet, dry or greasy hair??
@Kara-Ellie3 жыл бұрын
Wet but not dripping otherwise It’ll dilute the bleach further. Wet the whole head of hair and then wring out well. And bleaching is best on slightly greasier hair, but not overly greasy! The natural oils help protect the scalp from bleach and freshly washed hair strips oils.
