In the US they have what is called at-will employment, basically it's a statement on all applications that says you can be terminated at the will of the company at any time for any reason or even no reason, there is no paperwork required there is no severance.

I read some of the the negative comments refering to this video being fake. But it sure sounds like typical Keanu to me. He is what the story says. Kind, generous, and in his mind not a superstar. Just a regular compassionate man that has given alot of himself let alone what is documented as fas as charity and kindness. But i doubt that this video is fake as far as the message. There may be a little dramatic liscense but Keanu would not let this video be viewed if it was a sheer falsehood

The formulae in these ridiculous videos is so predictable. Don’t any of the “Oh How Sweet” YT crowd ever wonder how come there’s a camera apparently so conveniently positioned, and Reeves also so helpfully posed, positioned, etc. It’s there to catch America’s obsession with romantic sunsets and so-sweet kitties and puppy-dogs. Not to mention silly stories about A/B list film actors who in this case already have an angelic aura from oft repeated tales about donations, ignoring class, and so on. I’m content to accept that Reeves is a decent man just as I *know* that Tom Hanks was similar in his early career (I knew the parents of a young guy fresh in America ended up in hospital soon after arrival). He was quite badly injured in an RTA and Hanks showed up at the hospital having heard about the youngsters plight. He paid all the medical bills and put him up while he convalesced - he’d at least one broken leg plus other injuries. His parents found the money to go see their son and it was through them I heard about this. Like me, they’re Scots living here in Scotland. There were no paparazzi, only concern shown for a newly arrived young fellow in need. So movie stars can be the right sort (as well as every other sort). This was round about or maybe just after the period when Hanks made “Big” (think that was the title?” But- these sickly videos - are just artificial saccharine for the masses to “coo” over…. Yecch!
