My issue as a nurse with this cast issue. Johnny didn’t have a full hard plaster cast on his right hand. He had a plaster half cast that is then wrapped with an elastic bandage to secure it in place. Those plaster casts are fairly thin for a couple main reasons. East access in case of an emergency, to allow for swelling, and it’s only designed to make someone pause when they are about to do anything with that hand. It’s to give support and protection but it’s called a soft cast or splint. They break very easily. I know this because I’ve been in them a few times after surgery. I usually have to go in and get it replaced a few times or they have to change it to a fiberglass half cast after a few days post surgery. Moisture from sweat causes them to get soft. Humidity in the air can also cause them to get soft. If he had hit her once really hard would have broken the cast and he would have had to get it replaced right after hitting her. There’s no way he hit her once let alone multiple times and did not damage his cast as well as his hand. They would have had to do surgery again to repair damage to his hand.

When the UK verdict was handed down, the Johnny Depp support community (and me amongst them) were shocked. We were familiar with the evidence in the case and we were sure that the judge would see the discrepancies as the lies they are. When we read the verdict, the judge went out of his way to fill in gaps in Amber's accounts to make it work that he found for her and he went out of his way to discredit Johnny's witnesses and Johnny's testimony (due to his drug use, even though Amber is a heavy drug and alcohol abuser, too). We were deeply disappointed with how far Judge Nicols went out of his way to find a way to side on Amber's behalf despite the discrepancies between her various interrogatory statements and her actual testimony. I have to assume that Amber put on the same performance on the stand that she did in the VA trial. I wasn't sure Johnny would win the VA trial up until the verdict came in because of the Judge's findings in the UK trial. Fortunately, the VA jury were more astute than Judge Nicols. Travesty of justice the UK verdict was, travesty of justice. Amber has been way to enabled by the Uk verdict, by the media, her schtict for the UN as a DV spokeswoman and as an ACLU ambassador. This is what drove her to go through with the VA trial because she got away with it in the UK and she thought she could charm the VA jury, the way she did Judge Nicols. They've created a monster. She's going to keep smearing Johnny as long as she's enabled and that is a miscarriage of justice. Fortunately, the UN seems to have dropped her as a spokeswoman. As a DV survivor myself, it grinds my gears that this abuser was being raised up as a DV survivor and running a con on society with the help of the media, the UN, and the ACLU.

Secondly I had to have carpal tunnel surgery and that was in a half cast to start and the pain I went through from the slightest tap was unreal, using ether of these injuries you would not be using a cast as a weapon the pain would have you being sick.

The key thing I've concluded from this whole trial is that people lie, like Amber, and this is confusing to me when there are people who can contradict your lies, but I explain it in the phrase "I was only defending myself". If Amber projects Johnny as a "Powerful man", then how does she get back at someone who is "powerful"? Lies do the trick. But I still don't get how she thinks she can get away with it. And apparently she needs "narcissism" to do it, whether she has NPD or not. It is a weird skill to have, to always double-down on any lie, and always have an "explanation" that makes sense to no one except people who believe you'd not lie. It must be a skill that works in abusive households when you grow up, so it becomes second nature to "always lie first", whatever is happening. I know men lie too, but women clearly are more easily trapped by this "hypoagency" - a need to play the victim, knowing others will believe you and act in your place, on your lies. It's a feigned weakness, but also a real weakness, because you destroy relationships, friendships, and so you have to gain "power" through wealth or social status so those losses don't matter.
@cherylj74602 жыл бұрын
Yes! It is confounding. To witness this doubling down on lies that seem, to us, so obvious. I knew a woman a few years back, who began to tell me about being raised by a mother who was narcissistic and just very damaged. Her father was an alcoholic. She spoke of how they fed off of each other’s sickness. She was comparing her mother to a certain politician, here in the US at the time. It was interesting. Now, this woman was now in her 60’s, had a beautiful, stable family, and had broken that cycle. My question to her after hearing many stories of this, was, what happens when they are proven liars, and there is no denying? And if they seem to double down on these lies, is there another level of realization that they just don’t admit to, out loud? She said “never”! It never happens that they ever, realize or see, even if shown, the error in their way. The sickness is so deep, it prevents them from ever coming to any realizations. This is when the blame and projection takes over and allows them to stand tall, when they should be ashamed. People have called Amber evil and purposely planning JDs demise. But she does have this mental illness. How else can she make so many contradictory statements and explain it away? And think we don’t see it? Then again, these same dysfunctions are often seen in murders- usually men,(this is statistically true) get found out and confronted about their lies, and then kill their wife or girlfriend. I guess the sickness is on a spectrum.

@@cherylj7460 I have to legally evict my older brother who lived with me for 7 years after his divorce, and knew there was drug use in my house, and things stolen by his friends who'd stay over, but I didn't want to deal with it. I'd secretly collect charred spoons and pipes from his room occasionally and put in a box to show him if I ever got tired of his lies and excuses, but in the end I never showed him, saw he'd always make up one more lie for any hard evidence. I was surprised I decided I knew what I knew and just said "Time for you to leave". I had written a poem 6 months before I did the eviction thinking about honesty, after some long forgotten incident. But at least I understand something of addiction - it changes people, a sort of pain that only has one cure, and covering shame was just a necessary side effect. But he did tell me two years after, after treatment, that he might have overdosed in my house, and there was nothing I could have done besides what I did. And it was Minnesota's cold winters that got him into treatment when he had no other place to go. Incidentally, I also saw how he was largely passive, and people would take advantage of him, steal things, crashed his car, etc. So addicts are also passive liars more than violent ones. And like Johnny, people like Amber apparently believe her word is better than him as an addict, and her lies would win, no matter how unbelieveable. So being a wealthy addict means being taken advantage of, like Johnny, and Amber just one of many who took advantages of his kindness and trust. ----------- Honesty When given evidence of your crime, Do you come clean nearly every time? Or do you offer blank stares? Or try to split logic by hairs? Which way gets us ahead? Which is best when all is said? I believe there is more to that staircase incident than the two sisters are saying. Was that their plan to drug Johnny up to the point they could have an excuse for him accidently falling down the stairs. Since we know she copies others and how they do things, like M Peterson story. Something is way off about the staircase. I sure hope she don't copy others with her child, sister and friends like has happened in history with her types of people.

If you read the Jennifer Powell declaration, then you can make sense of the situation. The roles were reversed and Whitney actually got in the middle, but because she feared AH was trying to push JD down the stairs. I guess, by getting in the middle, she got pushed by AH nearly down the stairs. It actually makes sense that AH would've feared that her sister was about to fall down the stairs, but she couldn't accept that she was the one responsible (as always) and blamed JD for it. In her testimony it became this weird distortion with JD hitting her beforehand. I guess there was some sort of intuition to break JD to a point where he would commit Sudoku or just would have been an empty shell in AH's hands. Probably not from the start, but when JD mentioned a break-up.

Johnny had a 'soft' cast, there was plaster over the top of both middle fingers and the sides were left open so as to allow for swelling. Not so easy to include details when the event didn't actually happen that way. That's why she inserts and repeats trivial details such as light bulbs and dirty carpet and descends into emotive language to persuade the Jury (in Virginia) because she needs time to sequence events and she obviously finds picturing events she has never experienced trickier than she expected when she told the initial lies in 2016! The incidents are then disjointed and out of sequence, which TikTok fans found hilarious trying to reenact (see Johnny and AH represented by cats on the sofa, then edge of sofa and on carpet). Good thing she's not a film editor! Continuity would be completely out of the window! 😅

Thank you for sharing all of this. She is simply a lying liar who lies. It is very helpful to see the testimony from the UK case compared to the US case. As a lawyer in the US, it is fascinating to hear barristers as they do their work examining witnesses. We have similar foundations in common law and it thrills me to hear good cross by any legal practitioner. It seems to me that barristers are often more polite than we would be in the US. That is probably cultural. I love the civility. We have lost that in the US for the most part.

JD was able to use the injured hand in Australia due to shock. It is the bodies way to temporarily help you. Your brain does not recognise the pain until help arrives. You know you are in pain but something happens. This happened when I was attacked in more than 1 home invasion. Everything changes. Hearing, sight, smell. Everything. That includes how your body registers pain.

I feel like AH would benefit from a much better group of people around her who genuinely want to help her. I mean… I’m enjoying the entire car crash, but at some point someone has to say to her…” it’s time to stop this. Admit the truth. Let it go. Let JD go. Be honest with yourself. And let’s get you some real help. She clearly set out to destroy him from the very beginning because of what she was telling her therapist for years. In the hope that would be all the evidence she needs. Someone who only makes notes of the things you say. Not to mention, if he/she saw any of these injuries or even believed AH , they would probably have insisted on physical examinations/police intervention. But she didn’t see a medical practitioner. Never went to hospital. Took No pictures showing these horrific injuries that would have been sustained during these extremely brutal attacks by her account. The photos she took just don’t add up to what she described. I sometimes look like I have a purplish yellowiness under my eyes when I’ve had way too much to drink the night before. And I don’t do “anything else”. Its time, AH. Time to let go of the lies. Preferably admit the truth and vow to get help and be a better person. I do find most People are super forgiving of anyone who admits their wrong doings. Even if it’s been years. It’s gotta be worth a try. Cos this tact is obviously not working at all. As I say, I’m fascinated and I am enjoying the whole thing. However. I’m starting to think this woman is heading for a serious nervous breakdown. And it’s turning into a Victorian freakshow. We’re just watching her damage herself. She’s surrounded herself with yes people. And that’s what sick people do. She refuses to acknowledge the truth. But she’s in desperate need of a real friend to be real with her and to make her see what she’s doing now to herself.

I agree that it would have been in the statement 100%. I have a story of a fight on my elementary school bus when I was younger, my sister blocked a punch to my face by putting her arm in between my face and the girl’s fist that was about to strike me…. But that’s not how I tell it because the KEY point of the story is that my sister had a cast on her arm and when she put it in between the fist and my face, the girl struck the cast instead and it hurt the girl instead of hiring me. (This ended up pissing off the girl even more, but that’s another story). The point is the cast (and my sister) is the star of that story. It’s a key factor. I have NEVER told that story and “forgotten” to mention the cast.

I have also watched nearly all the content producers who have made YT videos discussing the trial and various aspects of testimony and have been impressed overall with the conclusions drawn. I was not familiar with the UK trial until I watched some of your videos. I am absolutely aghast that the “respected judge” could come to the conclusion he did in JD’s claim against the Sun. I knew what that bottle was like and it caused damage and I needed treatment. Then being git with anything, I remember it as if it was yesterday and still after all this time I am having counselling for it. You don’t forget major incidents like being smacked in the face with a plaster cast. She described it as “unpleasant” again not really words I’d have used but that’s just me. With all these things coming out, the jurors must be patting theirselves on the backs for the right and just decisions they rendered. I can't help but feel the pain and anger of JD in losing the case in UK. If I were his relatives and I have the means I would appeal the case. Do appreciate your fairly unbiased telling of what AH and others have said. I truly don’t believe JD scrawled messages on the mirrors and lamp shades after just having his fingertip cut off. Besides hitting someone while your repaired 3x surgically finger and it’s still in a cast, would be extremely painful. Yet all this hitting by JD to AH, she has no photos of her injuries except for those taken when she filed & got a TRO, yet admitted she did this because her attorney told her that she & all her freeloading friends would have to move out of the ECB penthouses in 21days. This case is just so bizarre and filled w/lies and perjury by AH, WH & all her witnesses. Why UK Judge Nichol ruled the way he did, I’ll never understand nor forget his honor’s bias for AH vs the truth. Enjoy your commentaries, as always!!💯 💜✌🏼🦋

The judge's interjections are really helpful to the witness, insuring that she doesn't contradict herself during her testimony. I find this a very disturbing element of the way in which trials are conducted. These interventions make the judge's impartiality questionable. But a note about the cast. It is my understanding that the cast was not the sort of solid, all round plaster cast one gets for a broken bone, but rigid on the front and back surfaces and soft/softer on the sides. So I don't know how unpleasant it would be for someone to be struck by it, but I would hazard a guess that it would have completely messed up the cast itself and the immobilized digit within it, probably necessitating medical intervention for the wearer of the cast.
