I also wish for the same but I believe that they could not assess the market harsh realities and fierce competition and innovative products asper the changing market. They remained happy with improving their own product without considering the fact the technology could disrupt any company in a single dayand later on it had happened. Worthy to note that all companies who were the trendsetters like for example Moto , Nokia, Blackberry they sat in their comfort zones as they were enjoying monopolies never worked towards the change management and eventually fell apart. Market and business are extremely competitive.....

Dood I am a hardcore BlackBerry fan myself. There has been no other fanbase as loyal as BlackBerry. Yet the company has pretty much disappeared. I got rid of my KEYone Black Edition after 3 months of use. Couldn’t stand the slow Android experience and super bad camera quality compared to my iPhone Xs back in the day. I hope we can get a Priv2 or KEY3 with good cameras and SD860. Will definitely put my 11 Pro Max aside!

I love my key 2 international version. At&t works with this phone. People should check it out. Face recognition, finger print, 256 gig HD. Great battery life, all day on KZbin and I still have plenty battery life at the end of the day. Well worth the money spent, oh great security phone. DETEK and the app locker is awesome too. Which is why I bought it in the first place.

It's nice phone , I brought it in January 2020 for myself. It costed me 14000 INR (187 $). Meets my requirements. Decent cameras, good processor, ram and graphics. Nice screen display and good battery that last a day (24 hrs) on normal use. I bought it as I want to try BlackBerry (premium brand). Overall, II rate it 4.5/5.

Forced to use Gmail for contacts creation. Rest ok, not very updated phone , price is based on brand value like Nokia. Suitable for blackberry lovers. Else, there r many better phones at same price range.

Great content and you actually talk about things (like BlackBerry) that few creators would dare to do. Your passion doesn't go unnoticed. Before I end this comment, I have one question... Would you rather have a Keyone or push out a few more dollars for the Key2?

If I were to spend my hard earned money on a BlackBerry right now, I'd likely go with the BlackBerry KEYone (Black Edition), or the KEY2 LE. The KEY2 LE is my favorite of all of them except for the camera. The camera on the LE is not good at all if you don't have perfect lighting. I don't really care about the touch sensitive keyboard if I can save the money. It has the best keyboard in my opinion. The screen is the same on all three. The KEY2 is overpriced and on resale it's hard to find. If you can find a good KEY2 for under $400, I'd say that's your best best. But, otherwise I'd say KEYone or KEY2 LE.

The BlackBerry Evolve seems to work well on GSM networks. I use Consumer Cellular (T-Mobile) and pay $30/mo, so it seems to be a very inexpensive way to have a high quality phone. AT&T was charging me $80/mo for my iPhone 8. Took two years to pay for the phone. Crazy!

I think if BlackBerry polishes up their RIM (Research In Motion) software back and actually put some muscle behind it, I think they could compete again. I thought RIM was better than Android back when they were competing against Jellybean and Ice Cream Sandwich all the way to Kit Kat. Great review!

I accidentally dropped this Evolve from the first floor down stone stairs, nothing broke but the (metal) volume button was bend inward and got the phone stuck in the Volume-Up position. All fine until after a few days the battery drained and when booting up with a new charge, a special booting menu showed up because keeping this Volume Up button pressed while powering on it brings you there. Making the phone un-usable. So long story short, it needed to be opened all the way up to the removal of the battery to be able to remove the screws that hold the (metal!) Outer shell in place.. This Evolve is Build Like A Tank!! Wow, just Wow.. Underneath the metal outer shell is an solid magnesium alloy Frame. Very sturdy build, being proven by the hard drop (without protective casing), and the before mentioned Metal outer casing is hold together from within the magnesium alloy Frame by sixteen (16!!) Screws. All this to remove the Volume button, bent it back in its normal shape and re-instal all hardware again. Still working perfectly six months later, after the total disassembly The phone has only one drawback, decent protective casings are hard to find although it doesn't seem to need it ;)

BlackBerry still exists but they are only a software and security services company now. They no longer make actual phones. They have some licensing agreements with other companies to make phones but they are all expiring, to my knowledge, so there is no solution moving forward at this point in time that will create another phone.

I bought this phone from Hong Kong and sadly it doesn't work on the main phone carrier in Australia but it works on the Optus network the 2nd biggest carrier but limited reception when away from main cities. It's a good phone works well apart from the network drama.

Also, had a month long holiday (pre-covid) in Arizona & California and it worked very well on T-Mobile & AT&T. Worked better in the desert than my iPhone, lol.

I kinda confused and sad with the Blackberry (BB). They separating the hardware producing company and the BBM (and maybe the BBM Enterprise), then they sold it to Indonesian company called Emtek. Then all I know is that BB once make a phone produced by TiPhone Indonesia, then BB also make a phone produced by TCL and Optiemus Infracom. Who is exactly the one that own BB? So confused.

hadil ny The Z30 was an amazing phone! I owned two of them. Went to DTEK50, nope, DTEK 60 better, but my Motion is awesome, still using it, does everything. Recently was with 7 friends, one received a video from an iPhone. She couldn’t open it on her iPhone. Four others tried on iPhone and iPad, still nothing, wouldn’t play. A couple others tried on straight Android phone, zilch. Everybody laughed when I said send it to my BlackBerry Motion, but it played it seconds later! Laughed my ass off! I’m a private pilot, and last week flew over Sunshine Ski resort in the Canadian Rockies, I was checking my BB Motion for weather, and was surprised when it asked did I want to connect to there WiFi! I was approximately 5000’ above the resort, or 1 mile! Looking for another one now in case this one ever dies. BB needs to build a flagship phone with Google and a bitchin battery like mine, doesn’t matter I’d pay $900 for it.

Just a thought: Only TCL, if they push through this August 2020, will stop doing Blackberry smartphones, but what about Optimus? Will they continue to do so? Are they the source of hope for future Blackberry smartphones, with and without keyboards, with consideration of global networks for use of all?

I had a Blackberry DTEK 60 which I enjoyed it so much but an year or so back the battery gave up cause of some reason... Now since we don't have a BB agent here its gathering cob webs.....

I never tried out either of the DTEK devices. I know a lot of people that did though and they all seemed to enjoy them. Sorry to hear it ran into issues

Yes i agree. CHINA CAN BRING BACK THE BBRY OS. Would be a very smart move. They might just do that. Also in many colors.
