Today we will be going over How to Make Homemade Blackberry Jam! By taking Fresh (or Frozen) Blackberries and adding some Sugar (& Lemon Juice if desired), then cooking it as we go over in the Video, you end up with a Beautiful & Delicious Homemade Blackberry Jam. Add a dollop of this jam over Cream Cheese, Baked Brie, & or on a fresh Homemade Buttermilk Biscuit...Yum!
Plump & Fresh Berries from the Yard, Farmer's Market or Grocery store work wonderfully for this Homemade Blackberry Jam Recipe. However Frozen Berries make an equally delicious Homemade Jam that you can preserve and have all year-round! This Blackberry Jam is easily Water Bath Canned so that it can be added to your pantry shelf or shared with your friends, family & people you care about for a tasty treat!

What is the temperature of your water bath? And does it need to be boiling the whole time?

When Water Bath Canning, you want to maintain the proper temperature for the given item you are canning. I shoot for about 212 Degrees F when doing Jam for instance. You can check out the table on The National Center for Home Food Preservation website at the following link for reference. nchfp.uga.edu/how/general/food_pres_temps.html That is why I like to use a Lazer Thermometer to quickly check the Temperature and add my Jars for Processing. I provided a link in the description box below the video of the Lazer Thermometer I like to use. I Hope this helps & Thanks for Watching!
