Yes! I second this. Wanna use my iPad as a monitor. Been using Apower Mirror. Works but only gives you a few mins to use and then gotta pay for it. Ugh..

THANK YOU! I could NOT figure out where this setting was at! With a LUT preview it stutters quite bad... seems to work fine w/o a LUT applied. It also crashes when trying to slow any frame rate down to 23.98p.

I think the option to set the off speed to 60/24 in 4k is only available for the iPhone 15 pro series. I have the 13pro and it is limited to HD only with these settings, still a great feature though!

Maybe many people do not care but, do you think they will add the CINE feature in the Blackmagic App? I use on my videos a mix of normal recording and the iPhone Cone Mode for some blur effect , and it is more work to switch from one app to the other.. i like the BM App but right know i am just using the nativa iphone app... Maybe the new iphone pro camera that Apple said it will come this years will be like a middle ground?

I could be wrong but it seems that you can lock the shutter speed. I noticed that previously, that if you touch focus on something, the shutter speed would also change. Now you can touch focus everywhere and the shutter speed remains the same.

with the new additiion of the webcam feature to the new update in pocket line, all I want is to see Blackmagic using that feature to turn our iphones with the Blackmagic camera app into a full functioning monitor for pocket cameras. I can't see any technical obstacles.

Yeah, bummed that o/s doesn't include audio (preferably real time audio like in BMD cameras). Iv'e been using this app almost exclusively for filming when on my iphone for the past few weeks and it's so good (iphone 13pro max). The footage is noticeable much better from the wide and tele cameras and it always uses the camera you select (unlike the native app which often shoots tele on the main camera!) A couple of items to tell BMD that would make this app perfect: 1) Make selecting multiple clips in playback much easier (like in the photos app maybe?!) 2) Have lens selection options always on screw like the native app (rather than two steps to select lens 3) Have exposure compensation available when you touch the screen (for focus/exposure) like the native app 4) Allow saving of media into photos app without also saving in BMD camera app Also make Resolve a mobile app PLEASE!!!

Love the camera app for my BMD camera. Hands free bluetooth is sweet. On another matter; Why is there no 'Phone App" for Android 'phones?

There seems to be a bug with this new version. I try to monitor the audio with my bluetooth headphones but when I start recording the audio output automatically switches the same audio I´m using for input, which is the USB-c carrying the mic signal.

will they ever fix the delay on the stabilization features? Like the Iphone 15 native app has stabilization while shooting, but with bmca it has that delay which makes it almost not worth it.

The iPhone has the BM app equivalent of the “standard” stabilization which for me has zero delay. The cinematic and extreme ones are not in the standard app

Sadly a reality for developers and fragmentation. Much easier to create a quality iPhone app than a android app that needs to work smoothly on hundreds of different “current” models and brands

Great content as usual. 👍🏽 Ok, update noted. However, on the last and most important update, I encountered an issue. I don’t know if you had the same problem but..so, when I apply ‘o/s’ and ‘60/24’ , I realized 3 issues: 1) the record button starts flashing, and there’s an exclamation sign in the middle of it. 2) the storage icon besides the available storage keeps flashing. 3) I can only record between 6 to 8 seconds of footage then it stops recording. Am I doing something wrong, or is there a kink in the app that’s needs to be sorted out. Waiting for your response. Thanks.

Are you recording to external device or internal? The flashing record button means it’s not able to write the data fast enough and the drive it’s saving the clip to is too slow.

@@georgenlewis9150 I've got an iPhone 15 pro and this happens to me while recording OS 60fps on a 24. Initially I was able to get around 5 secs worth before the frame rate starts dropping. Now, whenever I try to use OS on 60fps, the app just crashes. To get round the crash issue I just set the recording to 60fps on a 48fps which is not ideal.... to get round the frame drops, there is an option in the settings to let you keep recording regardless of frame drops, just turn it off, but it will result in your footage not being 100% smooth

This version has a lot of bugs… 1. stabilization is off no matter what I choose (standard, Cinematic, Extrem) it’s like off. Then 2. bit bug no matter what u set in the settings when u start recording u can’t see live lut preview anymore… it just disables the LUT. And I’m really angry because I wanted to use this app in my holidays (on Monday) and now it’s not working

Weird, on my end (15 Pro) the display LUT during recording no longer works. Same with exposure zebra, focus peaking or stabilisation. It all works on preview but when I start recording it all just... doesn't seem to have any effect? I know display LUT during record produced a noticeable delay in previous versions, so I was suspecting they disabled the feature, but I can see it working perfectly fine on Michael's end during Off-Speed showcase! Anyone experiencing something similar?

@@203yankeefan For anyone struggling with this - the fix is to completely get rid of the app and reinstall. I moved all of my media through Finder (iPhone->Files->Blackmagic->Media and LUTs) and then did a complete wipe in app (Settings->Reset), uninstalled the app, got rid of the folder in Finder (the one with Blackmagic data), reinstalled the app and voila, everything seems back to normal! Keep in mind not even the full reset helps, I only managed to resolve it with reinstall, (un)fortunately.

It's completely free, they also seem to "fix" the issue with delay when recording with LUT enabled, I recall this was a deal breaker for a lot of people.

Warning! Stuttering footage has occurred and ruined my footage on TWO separate phones following the update - 15pro and 15pro max. Glitch starts after 10 mins and gets worse (4k H265 Apple log)
