Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K G2, Night Footage, Cinelifter FPV Drone, Gyroflow, Lowlight Test

My first video for a wile, testing this tiny camera from Blackmagic Design that is replacing the Micro studio camera and probably the micro cinema camera all together. For me the question is always - Is it a good drone camera?
Camera setting - 4K 16/9, BRAW 8/1, ISO 3200, Laowa 7.5mm lens F2, Stabilized in Gyroflow 1.5.4 and exported to Davinci Resolve Studio 18.4.4

thinking of upgrading my pocket 4k to G2... what are the main differences aside from weight? I'm flying it with a 4" x8 cinewhoop... Happy with the pocket but the G2 is half the weight

Honestly, it’s just the weight, everything else BMPCC 4K will do same or better.

Davinci resolve studio. The problem with this lens is the focus ring doesn’t reach far enough to achieve infinity and that becomes in wide aperture, below 5.6. I have another two 7.5mm without the issue.

It sucks how fast the sun goes down this time of year. Did you modify the camera battery bay so that dummy batteries would work? All the dummy batteris I see don't have the 2 slots needed to fit, and you would need to cut part of the battery bay away to make them fit this camera. How much voltage did you send the dummy?

It is good substitute for a naked BMPCC 4K, essentially the same weight, cheaper and more durable. You need to connect the naked 4K to the monitor with the flimsy ribbon cable anyway anytime to setup- with the micro 4K just use any HDMI monitor. In short, yes.

@@mokshpatel6986 I have not stripped any BMPCC cameras, but I think the 4K in general is more useful. Lightweight lances, same if not better in low light.
