Holy crap…Bones didn’t just cook…they cooked up a 5 star meal! And somehow, somehow I knew Nakamura was gonna animate that Shoto and Ida scene and he certainly didn’t disappoint! Everything was peak! The VA, OST, animation, direction, story…man my jaw dropped during so much of this episode. And holy crap, the animation was insane, especially for Dabi when Rei showed up. It looked exactly like in the opening. This is 100% about to be a top 10 episode of the entire series for sure!

Amazing episode on all fronts. Special mention goes to Endeavor’s VA. He’s always done well but he really excelled in this episode towards the end and delivered the lines with a broken tenderness that was very effective. Next week is gonna be adapting one of my favourite parts of the series, I cannot wait.

For as monstrous as Touya has become, I feel like it’s only fair for the family to be the ones to ultimately save him from getting himself killed completely. And it was just in the nick of time too, since Endeavor had already given up on him yet again. There’s a lot of complicated feelings happening here, and I honestly wasn’t expecting the whole family to end up on the battlefield, but hey, it’s finally time for Touya to get the attention he’s deserved all this time.

spoiler free: this fire ep cover the last 6 ch of ch 385 to ch 390 (ch 388 - 390 were quite short due to horikoshi being ill at the time) , seriously the entire studio team continue to adapt the manga amazingly if i remember correctly the s1 ost was first used when iida was running to get help from the teacher in usj arc i think the track for endeavor vs dabi in this ep is a remix version of dabi theme Back when all might was shown holding a suitcase in ch 384_ we were all theorising what could be inside the three main theorise was an amoured suit, eri rewind bullet, or a photo of the shimura family (as some predicted he was going to go the shiggy fight to help deku bring out tenko personality) the reveal of dabi cyrokenesis abality to make a ice jet was hype as hell and when we saw stain, we thought he was going to witness dabi defeat and aknowledge shoto and more importanly iida as heroes at the time i thought dabi and endeavor was going to die, endeavor because of his dream and toya because of his messed up body and i thought they were both going up into the sky and self destructing taking them both out anime added the anime extended the visual of dabi posing and added the crack appearing of dabi body the anime added alot of extra detail throughout the ep like the ice particles around iida armour and heat mark showing the speed that they were going anime removed: the anime removed the robot which transported rei to the blast zone melting while doing the terminator thumbs up anime removed the entire beginning of ch 387 which foreshadows dabi ice awakening

First off, this is the best animated episode of the series, MY GOD it was stunning! The music and voice acting were insane too! Surprised to see this whole confrontation resolved in one episode. But now that I think about it the chapters were particularly short in this section. We might actually get All Might vs All For One this season, I can't believe it! They also didn't adapt Compress and Geten's scene, probably to fit everything else into one episode. I hope we'll get it next episode since we are already getting the LoV flashback during the Toga fight. It's not entirely essential but we haven't seen these guys since the end of the last war so it would be sad to not show them at all afterwards. I really can't think of what scene the last episode will end on, I'm curious to find out. Season 7 continuing to be peak!

6:30 it's even 5 and a half chapters! 385 doesn't end with Fierce Wings being stolen, it ends after the whole Evacuation Center scene with Shoto and Iida getting ready! And like the last page of 390 isn't in this episode (Toga seeing the flames go out) Oh and they skipped the beginning of 397 (Geten in his cell) so I guess it actually is closer to 5 chapters xD

The one downside of the episode for me is that all the todoroki peak took away from all might. For an episode titled "I am here" I would've expected more all might. They could've at least titled the episode "two prominences" or something like that as a nod to "two flash fires" indicating that it's now endeavors turn. They just made it seem like this was going to be an all might _centered_ episode, so thats an immediate letdown after setting our expectations.

I was disappointed with the rushed pacing of cramming all this into one episode & the cuts they made as a result. So many sweet little scenes were skipped from chapters that were already short in the manga. It’s obvious they’re starting to rush through content because they want to squeeze certain stuff into the season. That said, the episode still hit all the amazing emotional beats & really was great. The pacing issue & cuts holds it back from being as great as it could’ve been, but still great nonetheless!

@@MightyGazelle1 nope, that isn't how it works at all sadly. Animators don't get paid much at all in Japan, even if they're top of the line animators. An animator may put 5-6 months into a scene and get paid miniscule at best

I'm unfamiliar with their customs. But when they storyboard these eps, they definitely choose specific moments to dedicate more time and effort towards. Resources such as that I'd definitely call part of a budget given time constraints

@@MightyGazelle1 even then when they have higher priority episodes that they can get a lot of their bigger animators on, it's all about timing and scheduling. For this episode, since the 4th movie ended production 2-4 months before it came out in Japan in August, some of the animators on that were able to come onto this episode because of the timing of it. Budget is definitely still in play, but sadly bigger episodes with a lot of good animators don't get more money to spend on them. Maybe a little bit more because of timing and who's working on the episode, but that usually isn't the case. Japan's working conditions for animators are notoriously atrocious, they always have been sadly
