Thanks for the news story Steve, that's the 2nd fire they've had before it's been opened, hopefully it's not a bad omen. Hopefully that little cafe and other small businesses nearby will do well from all the office workers. A construction worker in St Anne's one night told me its normal for all the lights to be left on while the building is under construction for security reasons. Xxx

I bet that café has done well with the construction going on and it will carry on doing so when the DWP opens, I recon the new DWP building isn't that bad really it's colours matches old 1905 ish buildings so matches the area, In Bristol we have some old Bonded Warehouses use for the cities archives as they're build like a brick ****house's being bonded buildings and the ground floor is black brick and the other 8 floors is red brick but unfortunately they've been spoilt by irritating taggers. every one's a effing Bankski.

Oh dear. The building didn't burn down. It's a very large building for a town the size of Blackpool. Are they expecting a large influx of applications? Maybe asylum seekers that have had their application approved.

I used to work in a building like that in birkenhead the old land registry office which is now the university of chester i like the style of the outside of it though that drawing on the wall looked abit like me after a morning coffee lol ❤️😊👍

Thanks for the video Stephen fire in a new build wonder if it was started by an electrical fault then. Just glad it didn't spread and everyone got out. It's a big modern flat roofed building I much prefer the old builds more character. 😊😊😊

They got no car park for the staff they want them all to either cycle or use public transport but as someone said half the staff don’t even live in Blackpool so the small car parks around topping street will get busy

It is a full call out shout for training purposes (to smoke in a building fast response )2 Breathing apparatus crew with a jet (hose) to response of smoke in building. We will never commit a crew of firefighters to building till we have at least another truck/crew on site to back up the breathing apparatus crew that will enter the building. Thanks Stephen. The building design is a bit gruesome, a bit of an eyesore, but funny enough I think the colour is kind of nice, Well against the blue sky at least, might not be so nice when it's overcast. They can afford to leave the lights on all hours while many people are struggling to pay energy bills, a bit unnecessary if you ask me.

The fire alarm went off at work yesterday because some mantainance was being done & it set the fire alarms in the factory off 😅 that's the second fire in this building before it's even opened 😮😂

Was there a fire there before. I think they have to evacuate everyone if the alarm is sounded , hopefully it'll be a false alarm. Now you know where your tax goes to,pay the Lecky bill for that building.
