I have to comment on a certain story that Evan tells at 1:27:15 because it's my story also. When Evan started talking about the "runaway SAW," the story started sounding more familiar to a story of my own. As soon as he said 101st Airborne and that three guys were hit and they all survived, I knew without a doubt this was my platoon. This happened back in 2003 and I just happened to be sitting right outside the door of the concrete rooms we were staying in at the time when it went down. Extremely weird to hear this randomly from a podcast and let alone that Evan is telling the story because he was there too, the CEO of BRCC mind you!

Yep, plus some pencil pusher will decide what a red flag is. So you can’t tell me that under the current administration everything won’t be a red flag. Oh you had an interaction with the police RED FLAG oh you take medication for (insert medical issue here) RED FLAG. Not to mention that under these laws you are guilty intuition YOU approve yourself innocent
@SaltNBattery2 жыл бұрын
Yeah... About that.. Take those people out of society, but the same people pushing for child mutilation are the same people who get to make those decisions. Whether someone is a threat or not. For example, any vet who has depression or anxiety? Red flag. PTSD? Bye gun rights. Mike and his organization were labeled by his government, the FBI, as a "terrorist organization", so there goes his firearm rights. Every member of American Contingency, oh well they shouldn't have guns. You follow an "extremist" right winger on social media and liked one of their posts? Red flag. You voted "wrong"? Red flag. It's a slippery slope and the people who're already in charge of these things aren't objective. Many of these laws don't even require proof or for the accuser to be identified and challenged.

I think, just my opinion, that standards will go down to let women and “trans” complete the training, regardless of branch. The odd thing to me about it all, is that during WWII there were women special ops type mission sets for the OSS and allied intelligence services. They were geared toward what women do and could do that was different from men and it worked amazingly. I’m not sure where it became standard that men and women have to be the same?
@disposabull2 жыл бұрын
Any man that wants to make an Olympic team has to be able to spend a couple of weeks on holiday getting blind drunk every night, stuffing their face with junk food stagger into training still hungover, post the worst performance of their careers but still utterly shatter the female world record. The difference between men and women when looking at elite physical performance is so vast that it is completely impossible for any woman to ever pass a special forces selection course unless it is for political reasons not honest performance. No amount of steroids in the world will help fix women's genetics, but they will render her infertile and childless for the rest of her life. We need to stop this idiocy. As you pointed out there have been some seriously hardcore women that deserve recognition, statues and movies in their honour, but this demanding we crater standards so women can be operators will cost lives.
@JB-td9fz2 жыл бұрын
female only SOF units exist in Norway and Israel and also the british SRR has women in it. Should never be carte blanche but be allowed where they can add value and not erode the cohesion or morale of a unit / organisation.
@msb31752 жыл бұрын
As long as the requirements and standards are not adjusted so others can make the grade. The standards were developed based on the mission requirements. If those are adjusted you lesson the war fighting capabilities.

I took two guaranteed student loans for college, but believe me, I paid every dime back…..and on time. I bitterly resent any “forgiveness” of debt. They damn well should pay, on time, or be prosecuted by the government….which, unfortunately, the government has never wanted to do. Makes me livid. And today, for many professions, going to college is not the route to take. It depends on what your end goal IS. And as a teacher I made that point to students…go talk to someone in the profession you aspire to, ask them what training you need, then set up a pragmatic plan to achieve it, which may not mean college.
