My mom makes salmon patties as well. But she mixes it with crackers, and makes sure to pick out the bones, skin, and dark meat out of the canned salmon. Helps reduce the stout fishy flavor. Using Stove Top sounds like an awesome idea.

I imagine with clams it'd be difficult but crab or any fish? Maybe even crawfish or lobster if you're rich? It could work. Clams would probably lose their moisture and taste.

I grew up eating salmon patties. As an adult I always thought I'd like salmon. Ordered a salmon dish in a restaurant didn't really care for it. A few months later at a different restaurant ordered a different salmon dish. Didn't really care for it. I finally figured out that I like salmon patties, but I don't like fresh salmon. LOL

Man, my momma always used saltine crackers because that's all we could afford but that stuffing mix and chicken broth makes sense. Looks good buddy. My momma fried them in butter and a little lard, that gave a good buttery flavor and a nice golden color.
