Is dry ice blasting still good for automotive detailing? Curious! Also, does it pay itself in time? The equipment cost? Also, does the going rate for ice detailing of 1500-3000 per job cover the cost of dry ice?

@@Fa20Dit I've seen alot of cool car detailing videos with Dry Ice. I've never tried it before. We only blast in Industrial Manufacturing facilities. An Ice Blasting car detailing business could be profitable. It would take a skilled operator to not tear anything up on someone's car. I've been blasting for 14 years and I'd still be nervous. Startup equipment costs would be high. Maybe looking at around 100k for everything you'd need. That's top of the line Cold Jet stuff. We get ice for $300 per 500lb tote. A nice low pressure blaster would go through that in about 6 hours. That should be enough time to go through most of a car depending on how bad it is.
