Blade is a Marvel character pre MCU. The character played by Wesley Snips is just super duper popular, and remains the definitive Blade. The character has yet to receive a big new iteration. His appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine is fan service. And got everyone to react to the original 1998 movie he came from in preparation.

One of spiderman's enemy is a vampire called Morbius, Blade and Spiderman have worked together. In the anime Blade has met Wolverine too!! Sad to say the Morbius live action movie did not do so well in terms of rating.

Probably the original movie of vampire hunters in modern times is The Last Man On Earth (1964) with Vincent Price based on the earlier classic novel "I Am Legend". It was also remade in 1971 as The Omega Man with Charlton Heston. The Will Smith movie I Am Legend in 2007 changed it from vampires to fast zombie type creatures. I enjoyed all three movies. The Underworld series is also worth watching.

Blade is the real Marvel Jesus. Blade is the Marvel OG and basically saved the live action superhero movie. The 1990s Joe Schumacher Batman movies were expensive flops and movie studios no longer wanted to make superhero movies believing it was a dead genre of movie. Marvel comics were bankrupt in the 1990s. Blade was the first marvel character to have a big movie and it be a big box office success and this convinced Columbia Pictures that are now Sony who had purchased the Spider-Man rights and 20th Century Fox, who had purchased the rights to X-men from the bankrupt Marvel comics to make live action movies that were accurate to the comics, because Blade had made a lot of money being true to the comics and being more gritty. When X-men and Spider-Man made billions. This convinced Warner Bros to take are more gritty approach to Batman and gave Christopher Nolan the task to make a more serious Batman and Disney bought the rest of Marvel seeing the success of marvel characters with other studios and Marvel Studios and the MCU was born. None of this happens without this Blade movie. Blade also inspired The Matrix as it came out before, not only in terms of look, but so much so that the Matrix producers wanted a Black actor to be play Neo and approached Will Smith to play Neo in The Matrix and he turned them down to be in Wild Wild West movie and Smith admits it was the biggest career mistake he made. So picked Keanu Reeves as second choice. Which is why Will Smith’s wife is in the second Matrix. blade also inspired the video game Tekken where makers said the character of Jin was based off Deacon Frost and in later versions the character of Raven was clearly inspired by Blade.

You cannot go wrong with Wesley Snipes movies. Even the bad ones he is so charismatic that they are still fun to watch. And he does just as well as either the villain or the hero, though I think he is more fun as the hero, with the exception of Demolition Man. :D

Also, by Marvel putting out the streaming show "Werwolf by Night", it brings in the supernatural and macabre, that is how Blade can enter the MCU. Also with Dr. Strange, Man-Thing, Ghost Rider already in the MCU and a few others, they could form the "Avengers of the Supernatural" from the comics.

Blade is one of the very few characters whose origin story was changed for the better. In the early comics, he was a human who was immune to vampire bites, but since vampire lore has shown us that vampires are more powerful than humans, all they had to do was catch him, and it was over. By making him half-vampire, that immediately solved the problem, and making him age like a human was the perfect opportunity to bring Wesley back for one last hooray because, for me, he is the only Blade.

The hospital window jump effect was used in the first Matrix movie training Neo and the scene when he said he'd take the cure because he was emotionally hurt seeing his mother thinking she was dead in the arms of Frost and finding out he's the one that bite his mother and made him what he is.

Good idea with the collaboration of Marvel and DC heroes fighting something together, there have actually been similar ideas before. Decades ago there were comics where Marvel and DC heroes fought each other, although I can't remember why, anyway these universes subsequently merged and the series of “amalgam comics” began with stories from a merged universe with heroes that were a mix of the DC and Marvel universes (for example Superboy & Spiderman became Spiderboy, Captain America merged with Batman etc.). Unfortunately, none of this has been made into a movie yet, but who knows, maybe someone will come up with this idea in the future, at least I wouldn't rule out the possibility.😁

So i'm a big comic book fan and a reader been reading comic since I was ten years old and blade is what is known as a dhampire he's half vampire now in this universe, the reason why he is have vampire, because his mother was bitten before she gave birth to him. So the vampire traits transferred to him. He has all their strengths, but none of their weaknesses. The reason why he's called the day. Walker is because he can walk around in the daytime. Unlike regular vampires, they can only come out at night.Sunlight is their enemy. Now blade uses that serum because it keeps his blood craving's down. Even though he's half vampire and half human, he's still craves blood. This was the first successful Marvel movie using a marvel character. A lot of people didn't know that blade was Marvel but he is. He came out in the nineteen seventies, and he was originally born in england, he was born Eric Brooks and he was born not in the nineteen sixties, but he was born on October 24,1929. But that is his original origin from the comic books here. They made him feel as old wesley Snipes.

Blade is a Marvel character from the comics, but the film of Blade was made long before the MCU. Ironman 1 was the first MCU movie. Marvel Comics were bankrupt in the 1990s so sold different characters to different studios for money. Sony took all the Spiderman characters and Ghost-rider. Fox studios purchased all the X-men and Fantastic Four Characters, Paramount studios purchased Hulk and Warner Bros purchased Blade. Disney purchased all the left over characters of the Marvel and created the MCU. People forget Ironman, Captain America and Thor were not the popular characters in the comics. The MCU was so successful Disney had money to buy Fox studios and have the X-men and Fantastic Four in the MCU. They also had money to buy back Blade and Ghost-Rider, but could only borrow Hulk and Spider-man for movies, because the studios will not sell the characters back to Marvel because they are too popular.

Back in the 60s and 70s the horror genre was happening with comics like "Eerie Comics" (not related to Marvel) and Marvel Comics' "Tomb of Dracula". The were also lots of "blaxploitation" in movies like "Scream Blacula Scream". Blade debuted in Tomb of Dracula comics. Blade (at least back then) and Dracula weren't in the MCU a lot but I remember Dr. Strange fought Dracula once and I think Shang Chi too. I'm not hip to (nor care much) for the modern day re-write shenanigans so can't speak to that. Other lesser known Marvel heroes are Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Shang Chi, The White Tiger, Sons of the White Tiger, Kid Colt to name a few.

I'm pretty sure by y'all figured out or have been told that the first two Blade movies helped what birthed the MCU because during the 80's and 90's under Marvel studios didn't do well in movies or TV and to keep from completely going bankrupt they sold rights over to movie studios and Disney.

the first matrix is a mashup of stolen ideas and styles from comics (the invisibles), anime/manga (ghost in the shell), and as you noticed, movies like blade. that is why the series gets worse with each installment, because the creators had to rely on their own creativity after the first movie.
