He had so much potential to be a great character, but the writers basically reduced him to 'the boyfriend' while simultaneously trying to keep him in the middle of everything (still love him tho, I just ignore the last three seasons)

Although Blaine might of tried to top Kurt the traditional way once, to get to play Tony (this is after he almost ra*ped Kurt... It didn’t work however Kurt’s bum hurt and he didn’t get to the finale, also Blaine didn’t last the whole show or feel any manlier... Poor boys, though being creative during their alone time gave Blane the confidence boost and Kurt got his finale. Personally Blaine is my favourite character. People say that his character change every season but I think when he was with the Warblers: he was the leader, the star and had all the attention. However at the glee club at Mckinley it was Finn. Blaine NEEDS ATTENTION, this why he felt insecure when Kurt was in shape, this is why he cheated (but that was totally OUT OF CHARACTER, at least if went to back to the gay bar and got drunk then cheat, it would have still be TERRIBLE but kinda understanding. He literally planned to cheat on Kurt with someone on Facebook - like WTF) and that's why he wanted to be the "New Rachel". Whereas, for people he loves he can be selfless for example he did not wanted to play Johnny in a musical because Kurt wanted this role and there are other examples like that throughout the show.
