Agreed. And it's like hardly anyone dares to broach the seriousness of the subject because she's so flippant about it. She had the opportunity to show her compassionate and empathic nature by not glazing over Domestic Violence but instead she stays quiet until she can burst with happiness over something frivolous. You are right, she's not that deep. More like disgustingly fake.

Wow, Blake tried to stop him from even mentioning DV or Justin Baldoni’s character!!! I’ve never seen an actor or actress try to erase the discussion about another MAJOR character to punish and erase the actor who plays him. This is a level of narcissism from a celebrity that is shocking. And the actor in this interview looks scared of Blake. In fact ALL of the other actors look scared of Blake in interviews. Her representatives need to tell her that this behavior will not age well. Taylor should be a real friend and tell her!!!

Maybe she is confusing the power Ryan Reynolds, her husband has in Hollywood, which is a lot, with her own creative authority. People, especially actors, are afraid of Ryan because he has the power to destroy careers so they are afraid of her as his wife. That actor looks terrified. Even Gayle looks perplexed by what she is observing. Blake deserves real credit as a producer & the director has acknowledged that in interviews, but she was not the writer or director. Ryan & Blake are trying to ruin the director Justin Baldoni. Let’s see what happens the next time he tries to direct a movie. Will they sabotage him like they are doing now? They may succeed, which is really a shame.

Blake is not a very generous person. She always wants to talk first. The interviewer isn't even finished with her question, and blakes mouth already goes wide open, just to already let everyone know she wants to speak first. She also talks very long often, not giving the others room to speak too. She also fills in the answers for the other co-actors sometimes. She is desperate to talk, to hear herself talk. I also noticed her co-actors already sit back with a question, not even trying to answer first, because they just know that Blake wants to talk, and they let her, even tho it obviously annoys them (seen in other interviews) - also, she talks about Lily Bloom as if the character is the invention of the century. Relax kid. There has been absolutely more powerful characters than your Lily with her flowershop. And when her co-star starts to talk about the real message behind the movie, she seems both annoyed and bored. It's all over her face

Why didn’t Gayle mention or ask about Intimate Partner Violence? It was bizarre. Justin Baldoni, the director & other lead, addresses it in EVERY interview, which I think is less manipulative & more respectful to the audience. Then to have the actor who plays Atlas just mumble repeat things that the director said in PREVIOUS interviews was also bizarre. Did they tell Gayle not to say the words Domestic Violence? Why did she agree? She’s usually a very thoughtful interviewer, What is going on here?

I watched it 20 minutes ago. And I can't believe she talked this way on her promotion tour. There are so many things to say about this movie, especially because her character wasn't beaten by her father. However she saw her father abuse her mum and boyfriend. And then, it impacted her as an adult. It is so out of touch that she didn't address it. Her character is not about dark or white as she describes it, she is a victim first that finds the courage to leave. But she is a victim first, not just a resilient woman

Highly recommend looking into Justin Baldoni, the actor who played Ryle. Beyond being an amazing person and long-time activist for other things, he seems to be the only one who's stayed true to the theme of this story and promoted awareness of domestic violence. Disappointed that others are not doing the same and are instead treating this like a RomCom. It's not at all aligned to the theme of this story, and it feels really dismissive to domestic violence victims and the issues around DV. Knowing Baldoni, his history, and the way he seems to be handling this "tension" or disagreement (whatever it was), it's very clear he is the only one staying true to what this movie should be centered on and also fully educating himself on it, especially with his collaboration and advocacy for non-profits (No More) involved with domestic violence.

Not one mention of Justin Baldoni?!?! By anyone?! Justin is the one who bought the movie rights and was the director and also a producer. He gets what this movie was about. Justin deserves so much credit and these two aren’t giving it. Very disappointed in Blake. It’s concerning that Justin (who played the abuser) is the vocal advocate against Domestic/Intimate Partner Violence yet Blake (the female lead who was abused) is making this more to be a rom-com and missing the mark on the message.

I scrolled through a buncha different KZbins on why this "actor" is getting eaten by the internet....it makes sense...she absolutely comes accross like a bully, self obsessed, and ungrateful human being... i was never a fan, never saw anything she was in... but her husband... always loved that guy...great movies from ryan, amazing interviews... but now... gotta say... i question his judge of character if this is his lady choice... i wonder if she's mean to him...

Wow Blake takes over the interview. Poor guy 😂 she needs her own interview 😂😂😂 that’s why you don’t produce a movie you are going to act it it. Looks like Blake has a chip over her shoulder since she clashed with the director Robert Baldoni. Blake where’s the old you?

I don't think it's fair to judge someone and hold them to the same level of understanding over a particular struggle to someone who has been through what they haven't. Obviously, Blake has never experienced DV first or second hand. You can tell she is just doing her best to relate to the character as best she can but it's clear she doesn't understand the gravity of her character in the real life world. It's like asking someone to know what it it's like to have a disability or disease they never had and them having to pretend they get it because they're supposed to. Director should have picked someone else who understands so they could have a more raw delivery AND interviews.

It is clear that Blake Lively's performance lacked commitment and dedication to the cause of the movie. Her sarcastic and snarky responses, along with her out-of-touch behavior, demonstrate a lack of professionalism. Her focus on unrelated topics instead of using her platform to raise awareness about important issues such as domestic violence is disappointing. Lively should have used her influence to provide resources and support for victims. It's important for someone with such a big voice to do better and be more responsible with their platform.

Blake Deadly clearly doesn’t care about the primary focus of the book/movie. She only cares about the aesthetics of the movie, the music choices, and ostensibly herself. Lawd I love her co-star’s subtle reactions to her incessant and narcissistic drivel🤣 The not so subtle reactions in other interviews are HILARIOUS! Way to go Dead Lily and Bloom Pool!
