I don't think Colleen Hoover's writing merits a movie or straight-to-streaming treatment . Themes of abuse should be treated respectfully or not done at all. There shouldn't be another movie and if they must make a shameless cash grab then recast with actors that have the depth and maturity to handle the subject matter.

It was the selling of alcoholic beverages at premier’s and promotion of her hair care line instead of supporting the movie and DV that made me very angry. She kept going on how she used her own clothes and that the movie goers should be thankful to see the fashion. I think that the money would have better spent on DV help and donations.

I read the book and was anticipating this but was so disappointed with the movie. I personally think their biggest mistake started from the casting. Now more people talk about this drama with the actors/actresses instead of the actual storyline. Plus, I feel that in the beginning the movie was really slow & towards the end it feels like they skipped a lot of scenes. For example, atlas’s part in the book when he said “in the future… by some miracle if you ever find yourself in the position to fall in love again, fall in love with me”. That scene was so quick and didnt get to process the emotions there
