Ok you had me until 12:02. I grew up around these places and antebellum homes. They are all repurposed and used for various things. A funeral home, a library and drs office being some of them just around where I grew up. Also they are turned into bed and breakfasts and used for graduation parties, family reunions and then some are private residences and turned into apartments. They may have a sign saying when the house was built but other than that, they are houses with furniture and in no way are used to romanticize that era (Like they don’t have pictures of the plantation owner standing in a field with sl*aves. That has basically been scrubbed clean and it’s a house no crops or anything. Some of them also are open to the public to tour and the gardens too. There is one that is supposedly haunted so they give ghost tours. If you grew up in the south (yes absolutely there is still racism) but the homes and plantations arent as significant to us as people who arent familiar with them and don’t know how they are just repurposed.

Hearing about Ryan's and Blake's relationships before they got together makes me sad. I had watched this interview with Ryan Reynolds a while back. It was some late-night talk show. The host asked how they met or how they knew they were in love. Something like that. Ryan then told his story about how they were on a double date and they ended up hitting it off so well that they made their OWN dates feel like the third wheel (not his exact words) and from there, they left their partners and started dating each other. I remember feeling bad about the partner THEN because I've been in the exact situation once and it SUCKED. But to know exactly who their dates were? That makes me even more sad.
