Quick real-life Stryper story: I pulled ushering shifts at the Fox Theater in Atlanta. You had to usher for crap in order to be able to usher on nights of good shows. So in order to see Bob Dylan for free , I took the Stryper shift. Towards the end of the final set , the lead singer said : "oh, we better do this before we forget" Then the band grabbed boxes of little travel-sized Bibles and threw them into the crowd ( the bibles not the boxes).

Have you seen Ghost dog, Way of the samurai? Its a film that is near and dear to my heart, scored by RZA from The wutang clan and directed by Jim Jarmusch. Easily one of my top 10 favorite films.
@adgato755 жыл бұрын
I thought it was pretty dumb. Do you actually like it , or ironically? I DID like that it showed how the code of the samurai was really just bullshit to control the samurai and keep the daimyos in power.
@flahoo28075 жыл бұрын
@@adgato75 It was a definetly flawed system in feudal japan, but I absolutely love the film for its simplicity. The mob is dying out, and as a result of their doings, their prime hitman who is deadly and untracable is now picking them off
@flahoo28075 жыл бұрын
@@adgato75 The interludes and the progression of the film are fantastic to me as well. Its a jarmusch film, so there is going to be some strange presentation overall, but it gives an artistic flair to the work.
@adgato755 жыл бұрын
@@flahoo2807 Well , I dislike Jarmusch in general , personally. I dunno , the film just seemed really corny in parts. I think it was on purpose , but it just didn't gel with me.
@flahoo28075 жыл бұрын
@@adgato75 Well that is understandable. Jarmusch does have some strange tropes in his films, but to me they are refreshing. Not to further this argument, but what in particular was corny to you? I havent heard any other takes on Ghost dog, and id love to know what scene you though was corny.

That Dick Miller scene actually does bother me. It's a fine and acceptable movie bit, you pull out the gun and say "I've got your paperwork right here." That's all fine, but how do you get away with that scene when you're holding up an *armory*? You're trying to take a weapon, from place chock full of weapons, by force. Any competent desk clerk, especially in a movie, should be able to come back with the weapon they want and immediately discharge it.
