Honestly, I rarely let people do any kind of energy work on me now. The further I go in my learning of things the more I realize how people can mess with you unbeknownst to you. Josephine sounds like a woman that my mothers cousin got involved with… in Maryland! The only reason I think she may not be the same person is because the cousin got away from the woman he was involved with by seeking another spiritualist/practitioner to help him break the spells keeping him with her. …and as far as I know he lived! But she put him through some thaaaangs😮‍💨

Yes! The wildest thing I remember from this story was that the woman had moved her boyfriend into our cousins house. She had my fam washing this other man’s DRAWLS, cleaning up after him, feeding him, and paying his bills (on top of her bills). This went on for months! He never saw an issue with it, no matter how much his family would tell him and no matter the proof they had that her and this man were hunching. She stabbed him at one point for “questioning” her (though, I don’t know what “questioning” means). At some point, the family was worried enough about him that they decided to ambush him and practically drag him to another practitioner.

Let’s call it the truth, it’s hoodoo conjure cause it’s not voodoo or vodou. Dolls are not a typical thing in vodou/voodoo that wasn’t brought into the tradition until later. It comes from European practice in witchcraft adopted by hoodoo and vodou and used to harness spirits or for healing or hexing, vodou is ritualistic to service the LWA.
