Personally with you having the 1200 completely stripped back, I would definitely of gone back to Massey red. It would look amazing, especially seeing the ones Massey Dave has done. I understand why you want yellow, but oh the red would look good. Great job though. 👌🏻👍🏻

Unfortunately sad to say the reason the 1200 was got was it was uncle Ian’s favourite tractor it was to help lift his spirits a bit him out working it ploughing etc but as usual it took them to long to get it sorted they should have got it restored by someone else when time was against them so it doesn’t really mater what colour it is now but in my opinion painting it yellow is just sick !! Red is the colour

Hey Phil! Carbon monoxide is heavier than air so it will fill from the bottom of the shed upwards.. suggest bringing one alarm from the attic down to about a foot off the floor.. If they go off in the current positions then you'll be in a tad of trouble! :) Nola Shona Dhuit!

Nice to see the 1200 getting sorted, We had one on the farm back in the U.K when I was 14 that we used in our contract silage business, the hydraulics was the only problem we had with it. That was an unusual fleet with the 1200 pulling a NH 719 harvester with a gardener/Ford turbo engine conversion. 2 Ursus C385's on Norton trailers and a Muir hill 5000 loader on the pit we hired with a driver just for the season. Times moved on with 2 more farms and 1 country move since then, that outfit would be an interesting classic set now in the U.K or Ireland. Kind of wondering in the last video I watched that bell housing looked like it was still full of oil and crap when it went together, was it dirtier than it looked with how much times going into the rest of it ? And from heated workshop experience in -30 and colder weather in Canada you might be better putting ceiling fans in there. All the warm airs going in the roof, bring it back down and you'll be surprised the difference it makes to heating costs with the insulation added. Thanks for the video's, take care guys.

@paullynch27710 ай бұрын
If interested in the colour of the roof, Massey Dave recently did a video on his channel where he explained what year models came with white and silver roof. He covered by 1200 and 1250. While you have gone this far into the renovation and have everything apart, best to change the centre pin. Piece of mind and you never know what condition it is on until you pull it out. Based on rest of tractor condition, it would be advisable to do the pin. If you are changing the tires, then remove old tires and then blast and paint the rims first (before mounting new tires). Let the paint cure for a few days before mounting new tires.

Great video. Pot holes & bog holes are to be expected… the extra bit of time required now will be a distant memory when you’re finished and happy with the result. Silver roof or just leave it yellow as it was when it was painted last time… silver will match the wheels & nose surround, or yellow will match the chassis & panels, black is out of place as it wasn’t painted in the Industrial Livery at the factory. Too many colours will spoil the job. Keep up the good work.

@rossl254410 ай бұрын
Again great job buddy and another great video. If i could give you/your painter man some advice it would be filler over the epoxy then highbuild primer and don't filter the highbuild primer as you remove to many of the solids and might as well just use normal primer. I would have thought about dying the primer with some of the 2k top coat (wont take a lot) so that it means you get better coverage with the top coat as your not trying to cover the white and it also means if it does get a small scratch or paint chip you have less chance of it showing up so much as the primer is yellow. You can also reduce dying times with 2k paint (not epoxy though) by using a U-POL product called Rocket you can also get other brands and your meant to add it to the can of hardener but I just add a few drops of it in the paint mixing cup before i mix it up. You can use rocket with a 2k direct gloss and 2k lacquers but by doing so you will lose a little of the gloss from the paint, not that you would really notice unless you added loads to a mix as it won't go from a gloss to a mat finish say. once you have done your filler work you can use panel wipe and a lint free cloth (blue paper towel works well or kitchen roll) to clean the surface before applying paint (you could have used it on the bare metal before epoxy to save waiting for the water to dry off) you can now use it after sanding down the highbuild primer before top coat, panel wipe is a wipe/spray on and wipe off product though so just remember/know that.
