Email received back from CCI about BLAZER BRASS FMJ…. “To explain the witness marks on the target. 9mm Blazer brass is a thin coated copper plated Bullet. The rifling cuts into the copper of the bullet and will strip the copper off causing witnesses marks. For this reason we have a warning not to shoot through ported barrels. Normally shooters will shoot 10 to 20 yards from there target. I do not recommend to shoot any closer than 10-20 yards from the target. For those ranges I recommend the Speer Lawman or Gold Dot ammo. They have a thicker copper plating ment for competition and Tanning. Our Blazer bulk ammo is our economy line of ammo and will tend to be known to have carbon build up. This is typical for this type of ammo.” Perry L. /Technical Service Rep. CCI/Speer/Alliant

Just saw this comment and thought I'd share with the Ben-worshippers. "Ben making a mistake? Not in a million years. If you think he made an obvious mistake, YOU are at fault. He's a great shooter so he is absolutely perfect in every way and when someone uses the wrong term for something...other than himself....they are automatically attacked and deemed a bad shooter and inexperienced. Any chance the origingal commenter in his recent rants is in fact a highly skilled long-range shooter, or a terrific handgun shooter who has never used a red dot and is just now learning? Nope. Ben declared from a single word ("find") not that the person was inexperienced with dots, but that he was "inexperienced and a bad shooter." Remember, as Ben tells his cult followeing, he is always right and anyone who queations that is a bad shooter. Ben's 2nd grade level mistake in confusing quality with quantity is not a mistake because he is a great shooter and can read people's minds. I feel awful that I always assumed "quantity" meant quanity. Ben had decided "quantity" means quality, so don't dare think that means he made a mistake or that he doesn't understand basic grammar and usage and should never be trusted with anything. THAT would be making broad conclusions based on the misuse of a single word."
