This is Shaedon, Scoot, whatever and whoever we get back for Jerami Grant/Anfernee Simons/Malcolm Brogdon/Robert Williams, Ayton if he continues to play like he’ll ultimately justify being drafted #1 overall over Luka like Hakeem going #1 over Jordan, and the hard nosed playing young value role player core of Toumani Camara 23 6’7.75 224 7’3.5 wingspan, Kris Murray 23 6’8.5 220 7’0 wingspan, Jabari Walker 21 6’8 240 6’11 wingspan, Ibou Badji 20 7’1 220 7’10 wingspan, and Rayan Rupert 19 6’7 200 7’1 wingspan.

Drafting Scoot over Amen for example
@germtts
@germtts 9 ай бұрын
@@jordandaher9652Amen is a better defender and rebounder, but not a better playmaker or shooter. Not sure if he'll ever get there. I think both end up being good players though

@@germtts Scoot is gonna be great but Amen is just better. Gonna be an All NBA level defender while also flirting with triple doubles on a night to night basis as he develops and gets the opportunity. Again not to take away from scoot I legit think Scoot can reach levels similar to De’Aaron Fox. But Amen’s style of play is extremely hard to find and contributes more to winning in my eyes.

it’d be in the blazers best interest to try to trade for a pick that’s projected to be high next year. Whether it be through players on their roster or one of their picks. Maybe by making a move with Houston for Example Next years draft is much stronger and loaded with front court talent.

Rumor is Blazers are aiming to get a wing who has “all star potential on a rookie scale contract” I’m not sure who that is, Trey Murphy would be a really interesting. We could do something like Murray + 13 + Celtics pick (if needed) Otherwise, I don’t have a good name.

I don't think the Pelicans consider that for a second. Really hard to get those types of players via trade. Easier to draft them.

If the Nance pick doesn't convey by 2028, it becomes a 2nd round pick. Trading it doesn't make sense unless they really hate the prospects that are available and want to "punt", and are sure that they'll get back to the playoffs before 2028.

Settling the score w/ CHI w/ a #13 pick from GSW would be absolutely ridiculous. Sure... This year is a weak draft class. That said, it's not happening. Cronin wouldn't settle the score w/ pick 23 from the Knicks last season. So why would he do it w/ pick 13 this season? We also have no idea just how shallow or strong a draft class will be all the way out in 2028. It just makes no sense.

Thay can trade ALL of them, if they can get a LEGIT Young Vet who's worth it!!! ; But If they' get a top 3' pick I think they should try to get EDE (BIG Paint Protector Player) Or the Big from Uconn... with wemby,.. chet,.. embid,.. like bigs on the rise, we NEED A BIG Body Dude who can defend them & atleast give us a chance in the Paint!!!!

Edey isn’t even in the top 10 picks And Clingan the big man from Uconn is great but he will maybe just squeeze into top 10. Portland needs to take Saar or Risacher if they get a top 3 pick.

Swap with Orlando's late first round pick and trade Simons for Isaac. Could cut a few million off the salary schedule.

Isaac is super injury prone and not as valuable as Simons. So that swap plus a trade down is super rough.

@@BlazersUprise True; but growing the team through youth will take some risk and it will allow the Blazer's to play Scoot and Shaper more.

In this scenario, we wouldn't be sending out any picks and would also likely need an additional asset back from Orlando.

Cronin taking a page out of Olsheys book of not valuing first round picks. Traded a #16 FRP in 2020 where they couldve gotten players like Stewart, Josh Green, Maxey, Bane, Bey. In 2021 traded #23 and the following players still available: Grimes, Cam Thomas, Aldama, Herb Jones, Dosunmu. I understand the Blazers were not rebuilding during these times but it shows that you can hit on players at later picks. Blazers should be in no business of trading FRPs. This just pure FO stupidity if they do.

Cronin hated Olshey for trading FRP's. An entire universe of young players wasted to help Lillard win games. Joe feels like a warm happy godfather handing out NBA contracts to newbie NBA players. This is Cronin's wish, he's worked in Portland for a long time. Jody Allen is a magical genie making everyones dreams reality. (except Blazer fans, those whiney miscreants can go stuff themselves)

They need to stop trying to reinvent the wheel. Use both picks. Get another top 5 pick next year then we have 5 lottery picks on the roster last 4 years between scoot, sharpe, the two picks this year and next years top 5. If we don’t hit on two of them. Need to fire everyone and do it again.

best is to trade thybulle/timelord and that gsw pick to move up couple of spots, as long its slides to some tpe and we dont get anyone back. than trade brogdon for some late 1st this summer and a team option player (ingles). once portland clears cap all trades and signing FA would be easier in few years time when we need to make a push for the playoffs and young players get some experience

Because building towards the short-term often sacrifices something in the long-term, and if the goal is to manufacture a play-in team at the expense of a pick, those things aren't aligned.

Trade Scoot and the late pick, that may bring something back. Build around Ant, Sharpe as the 1-2; I have never been solid on Scoot he has Colin Sexton written all over him who is a solid player but Ant and his gravity don’t grow on trees. With the right squad he is a high-level weapon
