The Valley of Screams mentioned in the manga was a natural phenomenon unrelated to the one in this movie and used loosely as a term for temporary pockets of energy that popped up in the garganta. At best the use of the name was Kubo paying homage to the movie, but it wasn't canonizing it. The quote where Kisuke supposedly confirmed Ichigo had "been to a valley of screams" was mistranslated by rush-subbers. The correct translation says Ichigo had traveled through the Garganta and knew how harsh it was.

I rarely leave a comment anywhere, but I must praise the creators for this. Not only did they manage to sum up all plot points in abridged form, ridicule the clearly absurd parts about it, and maintain good comedy and action, no, they also preserved the emotionality of the film despite those contrasting objectives. I've watched Bleach (S) Abridged up until here, and it was great, but now this was fantastic, - better than the original movie actually. I finally understand the "Into the Fire" music theme, which seemed overdone in the original to me, but fits so well here with the characters actually being relatable and real for once, so the loss has impact and totally merits a dramatic aria.(the music has been stuck in my head now the last two days) This really brought back Bleach for me after so many years. These creators really get what Bleach is behind all its flaws. I thank them, truly.

This is a masterpiece. You point out all the inconsistencies in a hilarious way AND you actually add serious elements to the story that make us feel something at the end. You always skip the boring parts, but using the jump cut from urahara's shop to Ichigo mocking him in front of Senna at lunch was genius. Also, thank you for starting the "LONG HORN" running gag. That self aware of not knowing Hitsugaya and the others, and also calling him "little Sephiroth" man this is the best abridged episode/movie so far. I haven't finish this video, but it keeps giving and giving, the music are excellent choices too (Fallout Boy - Thanks For The Memories, is perfection). Man this video is awesome.

I remember as if it was yesterday. About 6 years ago i watched this movie for the first time and it left me so mentally broken i couldn't think about anything else but Senna for at least 2 days straight which is kinda funny because this non canon Bleach movie was the first, and only thing from Japan that actually made me feel this way. Memories of Nobody taught me that Non canon/filler material can also be good and it makes me kinda sad that such great movie and character are going to stay non canon basically forever but it is how it is. Senna might be a non canon character, but that doesn't stop her from being one of the best female characters from Bleach.

Arbitrary fun fact: Each episode we do tends to have more content(length-wise) than a movie. Episodes usually cover about 4-8 episodes, which means 88-176 minutes. Movies run about 90. Thanks for you support, we're definitely gonna keep on truckin'!

Well, it's not really to save time. Abridging is about shortening. That sort of pacing is just what we naturally fall into. It very much depends on the episode: Episode 15 for example only covered 2 or 3 episodes, whereas episode 6 covered 9 episodes. We spend more time on large conflicts to give them the space they deserve so in-between episodes(like training, talking or traveling) tend to get glossed over really quickly(often in a single scene). Then there's the outliers, like episode 12. For it's 36 minutes of content we did about 20 episodes of content.

This is still somehow one of my favorite parts of Bleach - and it is entirely due to Senna and how well she and Ichigo seem to get along. Senna's story is also so tragic and I wish it didn't end that way. And damn this abridged version makes everything better and sadder 🧡😭. Bleach (S) abridged has definitely reached the same heights as Dragon Ball Z abridged. Brilliant writing, perfect voices, and most importantly - having truly serious moments in addition to all the comedy. 🧡
