The audience literally knows he is there so the debate just comes off as Rukia justifying her hatred of Hollows. Heck, there was no debate, just rukia ignoring facts and focusing on her pay check, truly a debate.

No, he's known bankai but hides it so he cant be promoted to captain because he likes being kenpachi's subordinate. Do to lack of use and practice is why his bankai gained the quirk of needing to swing it around a bunch to power up.

The pilot oneshot for Bleach, I think, explained best why Rukia had to pressgang Ichigo. Basically, she spent all her power protecting him and his family.

@@FirstLast-wk3kc In the scene where Rukia kills the Arrancar, Ichigo asks why she didn't save his family in the first episode if she was this strong the whole time, and by extension why he had to take her job. In the pilot oneshot chapter for Bleach (not the first chapter), the circumstances where Ichigo subs in for Rukia are different. Rukia was fighting a Hollow while Ichigo was walking along the street with a bunch of ghosts following him. Ichigo thinks Rukia's trying to kill an innocent ghost and intervenes, the Hollow is freed, and Rukia is forced to use all her power to protect Ichigo's ghost friends (not his family; I misremembered), from the Hollow. Until she recovers, Ichigo has to do her job. I like that explanation better than 'Rukia wasn't strong enough to fight the Hollow,' since we clearly see that she's much stronger than Ichigo was at the start of the series.

Imagine you go to a party, and there’s cheesecake. They put it in the cake and kill the bees, but then it is poisonous. Then they say “I also have bee antidote, it will make it safe but some bees will live.” so now you have a cake with bees that may or may not sting you. This is also Malsumis.
