If they are extending fights like this Yhwach vs Ichigo fight, that is a big indication that the "final" fight between final form Ichigo and Yhwach might be extended as well. As well as many others. This is my favourite episode so far. 10/10 Bleach fans stand up!

Sasikibe backstabbing Yhwach like a badass. OH MY GOSH when Nothing Can Be Explained started playing I lost my shit!!!!!! Also, the Sol Dat were amazing, it really made this feel like a obliteration of soul society. The shot of Bazz B looking inwards as the Sol Dat March on is giving serious Ichigo chapter 684 cover page vibes and I love it.

One thing I really like is you can see how ichigo sword is slowly deteriorating during the fight while ichigo is unleashing his max. Its a small hint to show that ichigo's sword is not at strong enough to handle ichigo's true power. And thus, it is not his true sword. Its like the opposite of when zaraki goes bankai.

Episode 7 of TYBW was the first episode I watched AFTER reading the manga. I'll be honest, I couldn't wait for this week's episode so I started reading. And it WAS AMAZING!!!!! Not only for all the stuff you've said, but also because Ichigo Kurosaki's voice actor had nailed the anger and sorrow completely. The action sequences were amazing and listening to Yhwach refer to Ichigo as his "son born in the dark" gave me so many chills.

I'm putting this here for anyone who wants to give their own views on this:- Just saw the episode. Not gonna lie, with the level of rage Ichigo was going in, he really should have blitzed through the Soldats and even given some of the weaker members of the Sternritters a few wounds that would have landed them in the ICU. I know that's not Ichigo's nature. He went straight for the boss, but taking his mental state into account (which could have explained how his Bankai broke - Ichigo's bad mental state from seeing the death, and destruction and then Yhwach mentioning his mother meant he wasn't correctly flowing his Spiritual Energy into Tensa Zangetsu) when he could feel all the lights of the other Soul Reapers go out should have made Ichigo go berserk on anyone dressed in White who came in front of him. Of course, after that, we could have had the gravity of his own actions on those guys make him sick cuz Ichigo ain't a killer.

The atmosphere of the anime was way different and felt more living than the manga and the story was quite consistent so far and yet even detailed with 1st gen Gotei 13 exclusive scene against Quincies invasion. As long as they do it right and they don't cut corners with storytelling, the anime is killing it as an adaptation. From how I see it, the writers cutting & tweaking things from the manga (e.g. how multiple simultaneous scenes are shown) is just their way of making things easier to follow from an audience narrative POV. So, unless you're a whiney little b**ch who complains about a few small frames out of the hundreds in the episode, it doesn't take away anything from the experience.

That first part was epic, love how they showed an in-depth look at the previous captains. Certainly did justice to show their blood thirsty nature. Also the scene with Ichigo and Byakuya was peak anime. One of the best scenes from the manga done right. The quiet piano in the background and the rain dissolving from Ichigo’s spiritual pressure was superb.

Do find interesting the closing credits appear to be how the Captains are meant to be by division; it makes some sense since Yama and Unohana are where they should be (1 and 11 respectively), but surprisingly the Shihoin one...was the 3rd Division head. And the 8th further seems to solidify my idea that maybe it's from Nanao's clan foreshadowing her importance later with Lille Barro.

this is what happens when an anime studio lets the original author have swing and show his love for his creation, god i wish the other arcs were like this and the filler completely gutted out, imagine if there was a bleach kai with kubo having all this say in the original arcs how insane it wouldve been

Yamamoto with Shunsui having that flashback was great and OG Gotei 13 killing quincies with Ichigo speaking to Byakuya done awesome then him fighting Yhwach which was dope plus the reveal of Ichigo having the best genes ever lul

Incredible start to the episode. I might have to take back my comment from last week about episode 6 being the last episode to be progressively better than the last. It's nice to see a flashback from the original war between the Soul Society and the Quincies. This was an element of the story that really should've been fleshed out more other than just characters saying what happened. And the OG Gotei 13??? Kubo, incorporate this into the Hell Arc asap. Seeing Seydlitz burn and Chojiro stab Yhwach in the first conflict 1,000 years ago as young Yamamoto struck him in the front was incredible. The entire episode was amazing.

Not sure if anyone noticed it but during the episode we get a close up shot of Ichigo's Tensa Zangetsu, and in that close up you can see that Tensa's blade is chipped and damaged hinting at the fact that it will break soon.

the anime original content gives even more reason why sasikibe was kilt first when the quincy re-emerged…beautiful way kubo and this staff are putting their all into this content

The ending credits showed in sequence who the original Gotei 13 Captains were; I suspected since Yamamoto appeared as the first, and it was confirmed when Unohana appeared as the 11th.
