We overlook the impact that missing over the top pass catchers has on every other group and how it affects the opposing defenses game plan. It doesn’t matter who your lineman are if your receivers can’t get open or create space in a reasonable amount of time. 15 dropped TD passes, highest EPA loss from dropped passes and most of Trevs turnovers are fumbles from holding the ball too long. If the new guys can catch deep balls consistently and not drop touchdowns, it’s gonna open up opportunities for everyone else and give the run game more space to operate. The defensive issue was the DC Dave used them wrong

Problem was twofold. Receivers couldn’t win deep and the line couldn’t block long enough to go deep most of the time. Ridley could an easily had over 1400 and 10 TDs if we hit on that signing. Fortners regression was the worst I’ve seen from a linemen in a while and we didn’t have a serviceable LG on the roster. We fukked up across the board but the line is where we really fukked up lol

Fortner's career aint over...he was a 2 year starter...he can spend this season bulking up and learning from Morse...he'll find a place either here or somewhere else in my opinion.

I believe Gotsis and Roy are about to get their job taken by the young bucks. Lacey may beat out Gotsis by himself. The competition on or Dline has risen tremendously and I’m excited about it

our O-Line was SO SOFT last year...could not run block OR pass block...short yardage was pathetic...even with the changes and hopefully staying healthy...lets hope we can at least be Mediocre first before trying to be Top 5-10 OL in league...because we were SO LAME last year.

Big facts lol They chose the cheap route at LT. Jawaan basically reset the market at RT. They doing the hokie pokie lol Hindsight is 20/20 but the investments they made in the WR room coulda went to the line and we’d be a lot better off. 22 probably doesn’t happen but 23 looks a lot better. Our interior been trash since 21 at least…hell through that lense, bringing back Cam wasn’t the worst thing lol

The interior line was wretched and the play calling shows that the coaches knew it. You don't run tosses and sweeps if you believe your line can get you a yard. Cam helps the line but he doesn't make it one of the best, full stop.
