That looks a great route,to get the most out of this Brilliant part of the World.I did up Sharp Edge around to Blencathra then down Halls Fell Ridge, which is really recommended (in dry weather) too. but I never thought of this way, which looks great. And Halls Fell Ridge dosn't get enough praise in my humble opinion .might have to try this route you did.Thank you, great video.🍺

Thanks Bri. I did really enjoy this route, has to go down as one of my favourites. I can imagine dropping down Halls fell Ridge could be pretty impressive too. Maybe one to try for the future 👍🏼

Wished you would have given the heights in feet rather than metres. Like Wainwright, I can't get on with describing fell hights in metres. Nice presentation, and I enjoyed watching.

Unfortunately I was taught in metres, as are most younger than me so it seems more practical these days. I did add the total elevation gain in feet at the end of the vid. Appreciate the comment though and glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching 👍🏼

Never done Blencathra, its been on my ''to do'' list for years now...............I do like that route, great views from the ''get go'', Halls-fell-ridge actually looks a bit easier than I had been led to believe. Remind me never to go to a summit with you lol its always cloudy, however after Sharp edge(which was spectacular) and summiting again you deservedly got your reward, fabulous 360 views. Cracking walk this mate really enjoyed it..........ATB........Stu......👍👌

Haha yes I seem to attract the clouds 😂 Even on my next video where I get the best weather yet, I get a bit of it, though it does clear again thankfully. I don’t think Halls Fell Ridge was all that tough at all really. There was one small section that was a little more arduous than the rest but really not bad at all and yes, as you point out, worth it for the views all the way up. Thanks as ever for the feedback 👍🏼

Great video Anthony and glad you got the amazing views this time. Sharp Edge looks way too scary for me, think my legs would turn to jelly!

It's not as bad as it looks on video. And it is a fairly short stretch but yeah, probably not for the faint hearted :P

Going back there at the weekend with a mate, one of my favourite mountain summits. Been over Sharp Edge 4 times and it is always an exhilarating crossing. Always gone up from Scales before but I really like the look of this and you got some superb views. Shame ab8it the misty summit, which was the same for me and my grandson last time we were there, could not see a thing. The views from your second summit were stunning, I loved the moody skies, great hike! Cheers Alan

Thanks Alan. Yes, my list isn’t vast and many that I have summered have been engulfed in cloud but have to say, I’m think the views up top are pretty special. Halls Fell Ridge ascent is worth a go. Nothing too tricky, particularly compared to Sharp Edge but a great approach in my opinion. I haven’t been up from Scales so can’t compare but I’d you like a slightly more ‘scrambly’ route, I’d advise it. And yes, grateful that the cloud lifted for my second summit. Fab views, the camera never does it justice though 👍🏼 Have an awesome weekend, fingers crossed for good weather for you!

Just watch Sharp edge if any moisture on it, First time i did it just strolled across the top pretty much, did it last year, Totally different animal, Super slick and sure someone was behind me smearing butter on my boots to make it more interesting, all the hand holds are pretty small and cambering down the slope, Was the closest i;ve ever come to thinking this maybe the one that gets me, was pretty much committed by then

Yes mate, I can completely see how it would be a bit more deadly if wet. Hence me deciding against it a few days earlier when doing Skiddaw and Blencathra. I think I'll stick to doing ridge-like adventures in fairer weather.
