I've just been watching this amazing programme on BBC1, and this song came on. It's one of the most amazing pieces of music i've ever heard.

The whole thing is a masterpiece: song, orchestration, filming. If that programme doesn't win major awards, there's no justice. I confess that I've never climbed Blencathra because, like so many other hill walkers, I'm obsessed with the 3000' "Munro" label. Inspired by this, I think my next trip to the Lakes will be to do it, but I might give Sharp Edge a miss!

This music is perfect, the whole film is one of the best I have seen in years. The slow lingering shots are rare now days. We need to see more like this.

I watched the film at The Rheged Centre in August 2016. It was one of the highlights of my Summer holiday. Great footage coupled with the most evocative music and vocals. Onto the next mountain Terry...
