Keep creating content bro... This is a unique channel that will grow as C4D keeps doing crappy updates and more artists will look at alternatives :)

Great tutorial Robbie😊 BUT could we agree that it is a million times easier to do it in C4D? I would NEVER have figured out what you just did - by my self😰
@RobbieTilton2 жыл бұрын
yeah - of course. this is just the start for geo nodes though. I have no doubt it'll be as easy as c4d in a few years.

What if you want it to affect in the shape of a rectangle, for instance? That is, the empty has a non-uniform size.

What if you have created the cubes outside of Geo Nodes ? e.g. you simply duplicated a lot of the default cubes. There are many scenarios where would want to use falloff like that but it's nearly impossible to get the objects as needed w/ geo nodes e.g. OpenStreetMap buildings.

Could you use this inside your biped model if you're wanting to have the biceps swell up when he bends his arm?
@RobbieTilton Жыл бұрын
you could use a geo proximity node to effect the displacement of the bicep

Awesome tutorial, I followed it to a T but with icospheres instead of cubes and a mask obj instead of a plane, but for some reason it's effecting all of them of my instances scale at the same time and not based on proximity, any ideas how to troubleshoot
@RobbieTilton2 жыл бұрын
could it be ur mapped range of proximity is too large so its effect is super large and hence touching all of them. This large mapping could be due to non-normalized scale (could also try pressing cntrl+a > scale to see if normalizing scale helps or remap the distance in the goe node editor)
@sophiawang37962 жыл бұрын
I made it exactly like what you did in the tutorial but somehow it didn’t work like yours. So first I couldn’t get the falloff looking scale change, the empty sphere could only affect one square at once when I move it, Second when I change the empty sphere scale all square scale changed together. Can you please inform me what I did wrong how I could fix it? I need to get exact same result like what’s in your tutorial! Pretty please

If you're in Blender 3.1 I made a new and improved version of this tutorial here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/opacmIaPeLCJnck&ab_channel=RobbieTilton If you can't get it working from that tutorial you're welcome to send a message in my discord's Help channel

Great tutorial! How do you also get each cube to move in its own x,y,z? All the geo node tutorials like this just show scale and rotation. I want to bounce them like I would in c4d with a plain effector and a delay effector.
@RobbieTilton2 жыл бұрын
the x/y/z movement is easy following this tutorial you just translate position instead of scale. the delay effort is interesting though. i'll look into how to recreate that. if i find out I'll make a new video
@freshdb2 жыл бұрын
@@RobbieTilton thanks for the reply, I'll give that a shot. I've been scratching my head trying to figure out a delay effector analog.

How might I have the grid react like this based on multiple objects instead of just one?
@RobbieTilton2 жыл бұрын
i just pinned an updated tutorial. in that new video it's still one empty - but you can duplicate the set position graph section and have a second set position which references a second empty. This then allows you to have multiple effectors. I just tried it and it works great.
@bensuarez9042 жыл бұрын
