Blender Character Kitbashing - Part 3: Basic Weight Painting

Hello Sir, have a question. I've noticed that you didn't go into edit mode of the bulletproof jacket to expand it a little at the bottom (to get rid of clipping with the jacket that's underneath.) Why is that? Would this influence or makes it harder to copy weight paint later or just because you didn't wanted to? Asking because im wondering how much and how i can influence (change, remodel or add other element etc.) the kitbashing elements before copying the weights form something else. Thank you in advance.

That's covered in "Clipping and Texturing Part 5" In hindsight probably would have been best make reference to why were ignoring the clipping in this video. But I just wanted to focus on introducing everyone to weight painting.
