I think subdivision surface functions differently in new versions of Blender, for example the crease made by extruding the bottom of the shoe was not nearly so sharp in my model and I tried to compensate with more supporting edge loops. If anyone knows how to adapt the modifier, lmk!

hey, i been trying your tutorial. Great Stuff btw but in this tutorial ini 3:15 after i press alt + E it didnt show any indentation its more like a lump. there no edge and i follow your video step by step

extrude first time as usual. and after that extrude like on video. normals alt+e, I got results like on video, not sure that is right, but...)

he skipped a step there, you can see on the bottom of the shoe that right before the "alt-e" he pressed "e + right click" just like what Valeriya said. cmiiw

Hey Ben, thanks for subscribing 😁 I think I just added in plane with an inset face which I then extruded inwards before adding in a skin and sub division modifier. Some things just take a little playing around, but happy modeling ☕😁

Omg, these models are looking super cool and sometimes they look like Cute toys as well. I am actually a 3d artist but, never created these stylized models before. Caz, I always has a simple doubt that..... You know being a 3d artist, people used to do more and more realistic Prop/Character models to add in their profile or showreels or in their Artstation websites. So, how are these models will be useful for us and can we add these models in our Portfolios or can we make any money by selling them online? If so, where can we sell them... I mean, who will buy these models? Sorry for asking too many questions though. I guess, No one can answer these but you. Thanks. 😉

In the bottom right corner, there is a little cog wheel. Click it, go to playback speed, and choose anything below 1x. That slows the video down. It's very helpful if I find a tutorial is too fast. I do the same if I feel it's too slow by doing the opposite.
