I really love that you included going to MMD worlds to stare at your avatar! It's definetly the best way to test weight painting and things like that, and just generally gives you a huge boost of "Wow, I made that!!" hahaha

At 12:26 I can't seem to find the spot of the view position. EDIT: I figured it out, just took a bit of fenaggling. Got through it with some Trial and Error.

If anyone has an issue where the "Add Property" button is greyed out in the animator tab, make sure to drag the controller you just made into the "animator" section of the hierarchy on your duplicated model, once you do that it'll work just fine!

For some reason when I add my facial gestueres I end up having an issue with my Avatar's expressions constantly flickering between the Avatar's T-pose rest face and whatever face it is trying to make, do you have any idea what could cause thaat? Been stuck on this part for bout 3 days tbh

hii, I followed your tutorial precisely, replicating every step (twice!), but still, Cloth Toggle animation just does not work! It appears in the submenu, but when I click on it, the arrows start spinning but cloth of my Avatar doesn't go anywhere! It just stays as it was :( does anybody have an idea what could cause it? did you ever experienced the same problem?

when i do the "legacy blend shape" it comes up with a warning for all the expressions saying that it has no smoothing groups what do i do to fix that if i can? great tutorial by the way thank you for making it

bit late but its due to how you export the model from blender, make sure you select a smoothing

I have no idea what I've done wrong lol The emotes just will not play in game. The ones in the menu show in the menu but toggling them does nothing. I'll have missed something somewhere but I just cannot figure out what. Got myself seriously stuck on this one.

I wanted to ask what are the little details in the eyes weight painted too? the eyes or the head alone?

the eyes. if you want things to move together, you rig them together.

I know this was a month ago, hoping get an answer. I have CATS, but when i try to do the auto detect it doesn't do anything and when i switch to the setting you have it on the cats VRchat Visemes aren't there (they are there in blender though and they work, made sure to move some on pp and sil just in case.) What am I doing wrong?

Help, what do I do if my model is on the ground, but I'm not? My (real-life) legs are about calf-height into the ground and everything lines up nicely except for the feet.

did you apply your position correctly and is your VRChat height correct? also is your view position correct. there are so many reasons.

@@RainhetChaneru Oops, sorry I didn't give enough info. I've just solved it regardless, so to save time on troubleshooting, I'll say it here. It turns out it was because my model's legs were too stubby, proportional to everything else, so the game was sinking my real legs into the ground in order to compensate for the height difference. Scaling the legs and making them about equivalent to my real leg height worked!

I thank you for making these tutorials, they motivated me and helped me make a model of my own character, who I love dearly enough to put in 3D. Plus, having this model is probably gonna make me play VRChat more, and help out my (poor) social skills in turn, while still being happy with who I am with the custom avatar of my sona. So, thank you for making these tutorials and helping us down this path!!
