The Spring team used the development version of Blender 2.80 for the entire production, before the software was in official Beta even. As for all of Blender’s Open Movies, the entire production process and all its source files are being shared on the Blender Studio website.

@@gadgetboyplaysmc well yeah I guess saying gimp is just bad is a little unfair. I guess it is okay if you consider the fact that it's free. I like the interface but it is much slower and has less options/ or let's say you need to do more things to get the same effect. PS and LR together are just faster maybe it doesn't matter with the newest gpu and CPU but I saved so much time after I started using PS and LR. Most people assume that films like this are made with one person, which is not true. Belive me, it's hard for me to draw anything than what I'm comfortable with, but another person may be able to do that. I'm not saying that I'm bad or incompetent when I say I want to work with another person, and think it's encourged In major studios to work together on a film. Sorry I'm rambling, but it's true, you need to work together with others or you will not get anywhere.

@artstallion6029 5 жыл бұрын
@@SvenBrettschneider I mean, like, we can delete stuff in Blender, but it's two steps, x and the choose from the menu, when x could just delete it straight away and shift+x could be for the menu or something. So like that, we need a faster workflow, especially for rigging, sculpting, hair grooming, texturing, and even grease pencil sometimes has a lot of extra steps. Like colors in grease pencil are materials, which is nice, because tweaking the material will also tweak the strokes done with it. but setting up a material is time-consuming, while in Krita or something we just choose a color from the palette and draw. We need both. material and color picker workflow.

I want this to be a movie. There are so many unanswered questions! This girl has clearly done this before but there are hundreds of those old quills. Was she an apprentice and her master died? What happened to her family? What are these winter creatures?
@fakecubed
@fakecubed 3 жыл бұрын
I think she's supposed to be the anthropomorphized season of spring. The creatures are the embodiment of winter. Presumably there's some summer fairy that's going to lull her to sleep with hot weather, and an autumn goblin that will sneak out of some hole and shake all the leaves down before he gets frozen by the winter creatures.

I was going to call the creatures the T-Giants. T as in Tentacle-y, Tarantula-like, Tree creatures! (There may be many other T-words that may be used to describe these creatures as well. These were a few off-the-top of my head.) Such a wonderful animation!

This just shows how some people are stupid enough to pay for 3D Modelling software that can be more complex than it looks, 3d studio is an example, I don't even have any clue how to add a background, or how to make the camera move on a specific frame, however, on Blender's case, it is easy to add a background or make the camera move on a specific frame. Not everything that's paid is good, what I mean is that you should get software that fits your preferences.
