I won't lie, when i read the synopsis for this episode, at first i thought Zecora was going to give Angel a potion that would grant him the ability to talk, but then when i watched the episode and saw that they went with a Freaky Friday scenario, i saw i was wrong.

Angel is smart enough to be a pony. That's so sad. It's like you're dolphin or a dog, who can understand humans, but can't talk to anyone. So Fluttershy must be special to him and Flutters of course loves Angel. "I wanna marry Discord" has to be one of the best lines of the whole series. I like that Zecora made it kinda clear (to me at least) that Fluttershy and Angel have a brother-sister relationship. I think Angel was Fluttershy's first pet. He's been spoiled rotten by her. Old Fluttershy was super subservient, so she gave him everything he wanted. Now she has to work at the school and the take care of the animals at the sanctuary, so he's not getting that same amount of attention as before (Which makes 19:18 make more sense).

Awesome! I've been waiting for this. This was such a interesting episode, I loved seeing inside Angel's head and why he acts the way he does, and you know what? The way he is, makes sense. I mean think about it, he's pretty sentient, he's very aware, and yet can't really speak to anyone except for Fluttershy. Before Fluttershy's big character development, she was a huge doormat, but at the same time, she only had him to care about, and now she has the animal sanctuary as well as the school she's teaching at. So now it's harder for him to be able to talk to anyone, because he can't, except for Fluttershy. So yeah, I really loved this episode a lot.

One thing I've noticed in this final season and over the past few seasons is that the animation has just gotten to a point where there are so many good faces every episode. It's really a testament to how the show's quality in flash animation has grown overtime because It's just fantastic

You could save me time and just make a reasonable assumption from the context clues. You're lucky I like this show so much. In the Hooffields and McColts episode, the opening is a scene of Fluttershy's book club with her animal friends. When she leaves, she insists that they continue when she gets back, but Angel doesn't care and leads the discussion of "Weathering Hooves" without her. The animals can be heard chatting, and many of them are animated with moving mouths, including Angel.

She talks to Angel" episode really connected with me. Like, deeply. For those who thought Angel was being needy and selfish, He's forced to share Fluttershy with a bunch of other animals even before the sanctuary was built. He was deliberately being neglected. He's an animal that Fluttershy has to take care of too. He's Fluttershy's pet. Main pet in fact (maybe). He's going to want her attention like the other animals. I feel like him acting out is a reaction to the (unintentional) neglect. Now this doesn't make him abusing/ antagonizing Futtershy OK by any means, but I can see where it's coming from. And when he was doing a poor job of taking care of the other animals, honestly, I can't get mad at him for that. because It was out disinterest of course, but also out of resentment for the other animals for "taking" Fluttershy away. And when he said "now you know what it's like not to get the level of attention to which you've become accustomed", I... I really felt that. I'm really siding with Angel because... I've been there. I'm still there. I know what it's like to have to share someone with so many other people. I know what it's like not being able to talk to the only person who really understands you. And I especially know how it feels being neglected. It makes you feel a lot of things. It's annoying, it's disheartening, it's infuriating, etc. So yeah. I totally see why Angel is such a little jerk all the time. And Now on to Fluttershy, Yeah, I'm sorry. The gloves are coming off. Fluttershy made me angry in this episode. Now I understand that she was just "busy", but dear god, I was so mad at her here. She was contenusly oblivious to the fact that she was neglecting Angel, and even FLAT OUT said "I think somebunny wants a little attention." and she does NOTHING about it. Why was she being THAT blunt?! And then she says things like, "Listen to you for once? Just what exactly is that supposed to mean?!" and "Well, I feel like you don't care about my responsibilities." (Yeah. It's always about YOU, isn't it?) Okay, you know what? Buck you, Fluttershy! You do know that neglect is a form of abuse, right? Why did you wait till you where just about to become my favorite to make me angry?! "the animals won't get the care they need". WHAT ABOUT ANGEL?! I hate this! YOU ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORST IN THIS EPISODE!!! But at the same time, Futtershy isn't completely in the wrong ether. She's just doing here job. She wasn't trying to ignore Angel, that's just what ended up happening because she was so busy. She really did get what it was like being a bunny. When she was trying to talk to Twilight and Spike but they couldn't understand her, trying to get to Zicora but almost got killed, and who knows what happened trying to come back. I hate saying all of that about Flutters, but I feel like it needed to be said and called out. And sense she learned her lesson, and she look really sorry in the end, and said that she'll make more time for Angel, I can kind of forgive her. Though she made me so angry, that might take a while. I need a bit to cool off about that. This was a really well done episode. both sides were in the wrong, and I feel like this body swap needed to happen. I really liked this episode. It dethroned "Sparkle's 7" as my favorite episode of the season. And hopefully Angel will be a little less of a jerk after this. 9/10

No, I totally get it. Angel had his moments that were selfish, mostly acting out of unintentional neglect. At the same time, Fluttershy should learn that her opinion on all the other animals isn't the only thing that matters. Her main animal companion is equally important.

I think one of the writers (though I forget who) said that they always write Angel with dialogue in the script, even though you can't hear it in the show. So maybe they just wrote him as usual, but this time Andrea got to deliver those lines. It's interesting to think about. :)

I'm kinda thinking that if Discord is Q from Star Trek, maybe Zecora is Guinan from Star Trek. Did we ever get to see her past? Parents? Omnipotent Q-like beings on the opposite side of the continuum? (imagine if Whoopie was cast for Zecora)

Nine seasons, and they just now manage to sneak in a body swap episode. Speaking personally, I'm not a fan of body swaps; too often, they get incredibly cringey. I can only think of two that did legitimately good things with the premise (Teen Titans and Fairy Tail), and only because they didn't rely on that dumb have-to-hide-my-identity shtick. Ah well, this one wasn't as terrible as it could be.

I think fluttershy meant that for the predators to eat mainly vegtable DURING their stay in the sanctuary. So, unlike vegan's pets, these predators can leave the sanctuary, eat meat, then can still come back to hang with fluttershy. The vegtable rule is only there when they are there I guess to not make the preys in danger. I think fluttershy do knows animal biology and their diets. And at least these predators aren't force to stay there and have a vegetable diet unlike the poor vegan's pets.
