I feel the last guy on you don't know how capable you are of doing something until you HAVE to. People said the same thing to me when I went through being paralyzed and having to learn to walk again and keeping a good attitude with it. Soooo many people said they couldn't do it. I always said "yes you can". Its something those of us more challenged know and feel in our souls about everyone before they know it themselves. ❤

Actually most people that are classified as blind still have some vision left, it just is very little. Still it often is enough to be able to watch movies in specific setups, especially when they have audio description. (like my grandma, she had to look past the screen to be able to see what was happening because she only had peripheral vision left.)

I recently had to escort a visually impaired folks a few times through a casino I work security as, and I can tell you the best thing you can do is treat them normal, use your voice to describe things and visualize things for them. I loved exposing the environment to them, the smells and the noises are great triggers and landmarks for them so I described the visual part to help them orientate and they loved that. Any body with a disability just wants to be treated like the rest of us! Just be warm and welcoming and I can tell you they will help you more than you can ever help them. I was never so happy, and felt so fuzzy and warm inside than helping people in need ❤️. Wouldn’t trade it for all the money in the world.
