Does a peel type rivet use a different nose piece than regular pop rivets??

Sorry this is so long! These are really great videos, I just subscribed and set notifications to all. This is the third or fourth video of yours that I've watched, and I'm really impressed with your vast knowledge of these tools! I'm about to get my first rivet gun, and I had my eye on about ten different ones, now I'm down to four. I didn't have a clue as to how versatile rivet applications were! I'm only going to need one for making rocket stoves out of coffee cans, and tent stoves out of sheetmetal and ammo boxes: which do have pretty thick steel. I'm just undecided on whether to get the heavy duty one that does it all, or start with a simple four head rivet gun, and work my way up, as I've never used a rivet gun before. I'm just amazed at how much can be done with these things: and you make it look VERY EASY! Any advice would be incredibly, and greatly appreciated! Thanks for the videos, they're really helping me!

Is there a pop rivet where you can have both sides flat?
@AlbanyCountyFasteners4 жыл бұрын
The only kind of pop rivet I know of that can do that would be a pull thru rivet.

if the plate is that thick just run a tap in but not the full tap and full thread size, leave a bit of meat or you can use a worn-out tap, its easier, cheaper and stronger than a long bolt in rubber, and the wall-plug style rivets? just use normal rivets, is the use of washers meant to be new?
