Good point, about Discord rubbing off on Fluttershy a bit. And yeah, those faces were perfect, especially that "troll" smile, as you put it. And yeah, the plot was definitely pretty complex, VERY good writing this time all around. Lots of continuity references, good antagonist, and most importantly, no character assassination of the protagonists. I was really concerned that none of the current writers knew how to write Applejack properly anymore, but between this episode and Buckball season, I think I can put those fears to rest now. Still doesn't mean I don't want Amy Keating Rogers to come back though. ^_^

with how much Glademane was laying the friendship thing on so heavily at the begining, i thought he was twofaced, though not because of the acts. i just felt, thinking of real people like that, i kept thinking, "Yeah, your his friend... until you run out of money, then he'd kick you to the curb" so i wasn't all that shocked when he was revealed as the big bad of the episode

There was a lot of subtle animation stuff like going on in this episode, like the way Applejack's expressions changed when Flim and Flam started talking and she started realizing who it was. So yeah, indeed, great job animators!

I didn't think much of this episode at first but watching it a second time and I've definitely changed my mind about it. I grew to like it and I like several things about it. I agree that we finally get acknowledgement of the mane 6 from ponies outside of ponyville. It was sucky at first cause none of the non ponyville ponies knew who they were considering that these 6 saved the world many times over. It was good to see some recognition at least. Also good dynamics by having AJ and Shy's elements put to the test. I'm with you when you said that we hardly ever see any interaction between these two. I felt the same with Rarity and Pinkie but we've had several episodes with them now. I think it was time for these two to shine. AJ going against her feelings to work with the brothers was a good conflict for her. Shy was adorable and doing her best to help by herself. :3 I AM SO GLAD you pointed out the obvious mic. I freaking screamed my head off in my blind react when it happened. How could Gladmane NOT see that stupid mic and knew he was being conned. LOL! Good react as always, I love yours!

If Flim and Flam ever do come back I hope we'll get to delve a little further into their relationship as brothers and their past. I don't think GladMane would have been able to trick them so easily if there was not already some friction and hurt feelings bubbling just beneath the surface. They teamed up again easily enough after talking to Applejack, but I think there are some deeper issues that the two of them will need to resolve and maybe a true reformation could follow once they solve their problems.

Well... "we invite you to use your own imagination" - not exactly a lie, is it? They pretty much *say* there's nothing there. Also, maybe the empty theater actually is needed in a busy city like that. You know, just a little peace and quiet so you can hear yourself think. Things that aren't *everywhere* tend to become valued. Water in a desert or peace and quiet in Las Pegasus. AJ and FS appreciate that sort of thing -- just not enough to pay for it since they can just go home.

I loved this episode, i even think that is better than last week's one. Last week was entertaining because of Gabby and how awesome she was, but this one was interesting, thrilling, you really couldn't predict what was going to happen until the end, and i loved that. Probably going to end up on my top 10 of the season.

Yeah, this one certainly kept a lot of people on edge until the end. I feel like I should've been a little more quick to realize that they expected Gladmane to see through their first trick, but even once I realized that the con was still going, I didn't have enough time to figure out how they were going to trick a public confession out of him, which ended up being the intercom on his desk. I think I would have gotten that, just needed a bit more time to process the whole thing. Sometimes it's more fun to be surprised though. :D

I was afraid of making a fool of myself as well, and that's pretty much exactly what I've ended up doing anyway, but it brings smiles to people's faces, which makes it all worth it. :D The only thing I would caution you about is that when doing reactions, you will have to deal with copyright issues on KZbin sooner or later, so you will need to be prepared for that.

A few things on this episode: 1) The entire hotel/resort where this takes place is, I believe, a reference to Las Vegas's Circus Circus. A kid friendly resort that actually has a theme park in it. I've stayed there three times now and everything in this episode reminded me of it. 2) I love how this episode threw me for a loop multiple times. There was never clear ending from the beginning until all the puzzle pieces were put together. 3) 5:45 Can you imagine the panic in the cook ponies' faces when they hear that announcement? I would be shitting my pants, never knowing when a sale like that would happen. 4) 13:17 You missed Svengallop where Applejack's tail is. 5) Flim and Flam are kind of an anti-thesis (? I think that's right) to Applejack. They thrive in lying and conniving showmanship to prosper. And they're good at it. It's not an 'evil' bad thing so I don't believe there can be a reformation with them. Not the most respectable profession but that's the way the world goes, especially in ours. Another great reaction to a great episode. And a pretty good Applejack episode too! Haven't had one of those in a while. We need more of those.

Just want to say thanks for the episodes from rural Alaska! We can always count on good reactions, insights, and nods to details we might have missed from good Mr. Apple Geek. You do this without talking over the show too much it becomes distracting or so little shared it hardly matters. You create a good balance. You have fun reactions and seem knowledgeable and engaging. All of us- my kids(adult sons) and myself(old 40ish retired prison counselor) and my 11 yr old daughter enjoy MLP's humor, nostalgia, story lines, characters that actually develop, and the ageless appeal it holds. It's fun to watch them over again and notice new details and cameos.Thanks for putting them up for everyone. As I am not a tech savvy person, nor have a lot of time to filter through all the pieces or dribble some posters put out, I appreciate knowing I can go to one place that's reliable to provide good entertainment. Thank you again. As we actually have horses ourselves and you always wear a cowboy hat, does that mean you ride? Or is it just part of your hosting attire? Also, where do you think MLP will be going with plot lines and character development? We'd love to hear anybody's opinions who certainly know more about the franchise, writers and producers steering the show than any of us. I tried to find good sites for that kind of discussion but all I seem to find are "fan fic" heavy ones that are too fragmented, philosophical, sexual, fan art heavy, or simply too frustrating to bother with. I don't live for the show, have hours available to spend on digging, nor do I want to watch other people's fantasy, I'm just curious as to other normal fans opinions on our favorite cartoon. XD Anyway, I'm really glad you enjoy my content. FYI, you will be hard-pressed to find swearing or inappropriate comments on my videos. In fact, I've re-recorded commentary portions over again at times just because I said something in innocence that I realized later could be taken the wrong way. This show is family-friendly, and I want my content to be too. The exception would be the MAS and RDP series, which I got into before I realized what it was like. I do understand how difficult it is to find discussion and content that doesn't branch into adult-themed content, and I commend you for being careful about the kind of content you allow your children to consume. Oh, and no, I have never actually ridden horses. I did grow up on a farm, but there wasn't much along the lines of animals, except for some sheep for a while, mostly just field crops. I got this hat on a trip down to Oklahoma CIty, and yeah, it's pretty much just a gimmick thing for my pony-sona as a relative of the Apple family, which I relate to given my farming background. As for where MLP will be going, not exactly sure what you mean by that, as that's a rather vague topic. I don't really have any insider knowledge in regards to what directions the show will take, just theories like anyone else. I did enjoy this episode. Flim and Flam was nice to see again, also agree with Silicon Brony that was glad they did not seen the two get redeemed. Las Pegasus reminded me a lot of Circus Circus, minus the gambling. Was also neat to see Applejack needing to get the brothers to help them out against Gladmane. Do you think that the Map sent Applejack because it new she needed to get past her anger towards the Brothers? Congrats on another great reaction, and post comments, keep doing what your doing. I freaking love Fluttershy's character development! She's been put to great use in season 6! Ever since Flutter Brutter she's had great moments! Flim and Flam and Applejack's past re connecting here was definitely interesting. (And interesting how Flim and Flam didn't change for the better, that's nice to see for a change with this cartoon). Gladmane is definitely a interesting character; I wonder if we'll see him again. Definitely my new favorite of the map episode. The Fluttershy impression was awesome and her talking to AJ in that way was just great! AJ's stubbornness made a come back, which was a little annoying here but really with her back story with Flim and Flam I can't blame how she acted towards them. Really enjoyed this episode, great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.

Also if they're doing the map episodes like they did last season we had Rarity and Pinkie Pie centered map episode, AJ and Fluttershy centered map episode so the next one has to be Twilight and Rainbow. Which is cool; Rainbow is my favorite out of the mane six and Twilight is my second favorite. (Plus we are in dire need of a Twilight episode; even if she is co starring with Rainbow; which should be a interesting contrast to see!). Also with AJ and Fluttershy not being in an episode paired off with each other there was Bats! In season 4. XD.

So glad to see Applejack and Fluttershy get an episode together, and even better to see a new town at last! Las Pegasus looks like a real blast! I wasn't too happy seeing Flim and Flam again, after all the grief they've been giving the Apple family, but with what transpired, it looks like it was for the best. The way AJ and Flutters went about the problem separately really worked well in their favor, finding out what they needed to know about Gladmane (who totally had me fooled at the start, I'll admit) and how to expose him. Just a shame we didn't get the customary post-end-of-the-mission hug the others got, but it's a small thing, really. These two did a great job, and I'm proud of them. =)

I really like this episode its one of my favorites this season and to me its one of the better map episodes, AJ and Fluttershy don't get paired to often i think their last episode was bats, but this is the better of the two, they played off each other really well and When I knew Flim and FLam were in the episode I knew AJ would have to help them I don't blame her for not wanting to help them cause of her history with them, but it was nice that FLuttershy convinced her to help them, I have been really impressed with Fluttershy this season I just wish they do more with Applejack, but this is a really good episode, nice reaction as always.

Awesome, another cutie map quest! If I'm not mistaken, Applejack and Fluttershy shared an episode in S4, "Bats." Ok, so we've had a few old friends/frenemies return this season: Trixie, Daring Do and now the Flim Flam bros(still waiting on Babs Seed though). I guess you could say that Applejack had to swallow her pride to help the ones that caused her and her family problems in the past, kinda like how Twilight had to do the same with Trixie being Starlight's friend of choice. I have yet to decide who's my best pony and Fluttershy is very close to taking the crown, very close.

Not really all that surprised Flim and Flam weren't... Reformed... After all, they were willing to work with the likes of Sombra and Chrysalis in the comics (among other ponies spurned by the mane six: Lightning dust and Iron will.) Although they (along with the others besides Sombra) started thinking that perhaps working with them wouldn't be the smartest idea. (Iron will had a family to think about, and Chrysalis peaced out when she knew the full extend of Sombra's plan.) Lightning Dust... Not so sure about what her deal was.

Map/Twilight was right... they WERE the perfect pair for this. Fluttershy and AJ were needed and only them... Also... I'd like to see a flashback about the OTHERS coming to Ponyville. Twilight's arrival was episode 1 of course and AJ has always been there (and we got Granny's story already). But when did Pinkie, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Rarity join in?Also... RD is only one who doesn't have family so far (except Scootaloo I suppose). I think they're ALL dead. I mean the cloud castle RD lives in... it's just too fancy for RD to buy or make by herself. Inherited, possibly.
