Blind Unboxing - Arylic BP50 HDMI ARC DAC/Pre-Amp

I am using a HP laptop I5 as source. HDMI out to tv HDMI in (non-smart tv). The Arylic connects from laptop by a USB C port to PC input on Arylic and Shows on unit display as DAC.

I just received my piece yesterday. It was required as I upgraded my active speakers from the Klipsch R 51pm which have a input selector and volume control, to a pair of Genelec 8030s which have only a XLR input. This meant that I needed a preamp between them and my Denefrips Ares 12th anniversary. Connections will be done next week as I am waiting on a set of RCA jumper cables.

If it works well then it's exactly what I've been asking for, an inexpensive small form factor hdmi arc, subwoofer out, preamp for pairing with a smart tv and Fosi TPA3255 chipset class D amp. I just about purchased the Denon dra800h on sale for $400 from Crutchfield but glad I held off as it's still more than I care to spend.

Exactly! All I can say is 'so far so good.' Stay tuned for my upcoming review. I actually have mine connected to a Fosi V3.

I am on my 3rd Arylic BP50 and they all are doing the same thing. Randomly no sound so I have to rest or turn off and back on then it is fine. Just never know when it will cut off sound. Funny thing the sub out still works when the sound goes out. Any Ideas ? This happens on all outputs.

Thats unfortunate. I was having. similar issue,, but it was only while watching Hulu on my Roku TV. All over apps work just fine. I am wondering if it an audio format issue? Hopefully Arylic can fix it with a firmware update.

SPOILER ALLERT: It was an HDMI cable issue. I ordered a newer cable on amazon that is ultra-high speed rated and that solved the issue! Perhaps that was the cause of your issue as well.
