It didn't hit me the first time while watching this, but I just realized that Ironwood's following Ozpin's warnings when he brought his army to Vale back in Volume 3. He really has come a long way since the fall of Beacon.

Perhaps he's being *too* cautious with his army now. In Episode 1 Grimm were just allowed in the city and the military wasn't enough to deal with them. He has a responsibility to protect the people of Mantle too.

You attend huntsmen academies for 4 years (age 17-21) before you graduate as huntsmen/huntress. RWBY and JNR were granted huntsmen/huntress licenses because not only is Ironwood a headmaster, but because of their accomplishments. Like Qrow said back in volume 3, a day in the field was worth a week (or more) in school. So they are way above the average already. Plus this allows them to officially take on missions. Atlas is different with that graduated huntsmen usually join the military, which is heavily integrated and not separate like in Vale, (Ironwood is also the general) Examples would be Winter and the AceOps.

I think Ruby might be the youngest huntsman ever. She moved ahead 2 years to go to Beacon, then she got her license earlier than if she had graduated. Her friends at Signal are going to be jealous (if they aren't dead).

Tbh, Roosterteeth overdid all his bad-doing and make it out of his character, especially all that killing. They wanted to show what being cornered, desperate and scared can do to a man, but... This simply didn't feel right and in character (same as Clover-Qrow-Tyrian fight).

Monty is credited for story because RWBY is still following it's "story bible" essentially, he had it all laid out for what he wanted it to be while working with Miles and Kerry prior to his passing, the latter two continuing on from there.

Yep. And if the show goes for more it would likely be because they turned the events of one volume into two (possibly in multiple cases). What Monty wrote was a fairly rough outline of events and such, not an episode by episode plan).

Yeah he wrote RWBY similarly to how Burnie used to write RvB. He would have the major plot points, then he brought in Miles and Kerry to fill in the gaps. And now we got RWBY Loremaster Eddy Rivas and Kiersi Burkhart who I think wrote this whole volume.

Last I recall, Miles and Kerry were on a panel last year, and said that as it stands, they had roughly enough content for 12 or 13 volumes. Again, as story gets fleshed out with scenes and dialogue, some plot points compress while others are spread out over separate volumes.

It has nothing to do with authority, they unlike civilians have actual insight into what is happening and know that what they are doing is right. All the people that view him in a good light are the ones that know him and know his plans. Having information to make decisions and having the mentall strenght to accept reality is what military personel have, that is the oposite of brain washing

for me vol. 6 did that, i love the first three volumes and while 4 and 5 were definitely the weakest ones so far i still enjoyed them. But vol 6 made me really fall in love with show again and while i also loved vol 7 it wasn't as good as 6 for me, but it came damn close ( best theme though )

I can't help but notice that Qrow didn't mention Raven when discussing Summer Rose to Ruby. Obviously I've seen what happened in later volumes but even so, I wonder why Qrow didn't mention his sister's reaction to Summer's disappearance. After all, no matter what Raven believes, Summer used to be part of the team. It's interesting how he didn't even say something like "and my sister acted no different than usual" or something. But then again maybe he didn't want to reveal Raven's true feelings? Especially since they don't seem to be as close anymore 😅
